Hyundai Creta Action 2027 returns below R$ 120 thousand with less powerful engine

The Hyundai Creta 2027 once again had a version below R$ 120 thousand, but with less power under the hood. The entry-level Action configuration returned to the catalog for R$ 119.990 with the recalibrated 1.0 turbo flex TGDi engine: the set now yields 115 hp with gasoline or ethanol, against the 120 hp it delivered with alcohol in the 2026 line.

The loss of five horsepower has nothing to do with performance or emissions standards. It meets the new Green IPI table, designed within the federal Mover (Green Mobility and Innovation) program, which now considers power among the taxation criteria.

Engines of up to 85 kW, or about 115.6 hp, do not suffer an increase in the rate; above this limit, the Tax on Industrialized Products rises by 0.75 percentage points. Multiplied by tens of thousands of units per year, electronic reprogramming becomes a margin.

The adjustment was not restricted to the Action. It also reaches the Comfort, Limited and Platinum versions of the SUV, in addition to the HB20 hatch and the HB20S sedan, which use the same engine. Ultimate and N Line continue with the 1.6 turbo flex of up to 176 hp and 27 kgfm, associated with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Same torque, lower

performance Torque was kept at 17,5 kgfm, as was the six-speed automatic transmission. The account appears in the performance tables: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h went from 11,6 to 11,8 seconds, and the top speed dropped from 180 km/h to 176 km/h. Body and interior space have not changed, with a length of 4,33 m and a trunk of 422 liters.

List price was stopped

Despite the mechanical change, Hyundai did not change the suggested public prices. The Action remains at R$ 119.990, R$ 36.600 below the Comfort, which starts at R$ 156.590. For the PwD public, the main target of the configuration, the value with IPI and ICMS exemptions was R$ 106.238, about R$ 816 above what the model cost in the 2026 line.

The ceiling of R$ 120 thousand required by the PwD program helps to explain the reduction of the equipment list. The Action leaves the factory with six airbags, stability and traction controls, ramp start assistant, tire pressure monitoring, cruise control, air conditioning, face-to-face key, headlights with automatic lighting and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The 8-inch multimedia center, offered as an option at the dealership, is left out. The reversing camera arrives factory-installed, but depends on the multimedia to work. The driving assistants from the SmartSense package are also not included.
