BMW launched BMW X Week, a national campaign aimed exclusively at its line of SUVs, with a financing rate starting at 0% per month for selected models. Valid until June 28, the action covers the X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6 and X7 models and is valid throughout the brand’s dealership network in the country.
The conditions, however, have counterparts: the rate of 0% per month applies according to the rules of the campaign and, in financing plans, requires a down payment from 40% of the value of the vehicle, with terms of 12 to 36 months. As an alternative to the reduced rate, the customer can choose to value the used car given as part of the payment — one condition or another, depending on the time of purchase.
Zero-rate offers are usually linked to specific models and versions, limited inventories and short payment terms — which helps explain the high down payment and the 36-month ceiling. In practice, the effective benefit varies according to the model chosen and the conditions negotiated at the concessionaire. Campaigns like this are frequent in the middle of the year, when brands seek to accelerate sales before the second half of the year.
According to Michele Menchini, Sales Director of BMW do Brasil, the campaign was designed to contemplate different customer profiles. “We bring together special conditions and flexible commercial alternatives to meet different customer profiles, always maintaining the premium experience that characterizes BMW,” said the executive.
The X line concentrates much of the brand’s appeal in the country and covers different ranges of use: it goes from the most compact models, aimed at urban traffic, such as the X1 and X2, to larger and more sophisticated SUVs, such as the X7, with more space, technology and performance.
In addition to the financial conditions, X Week includes, in contemplated models, the BMW Service Inclusive program, which covers maintenance services in the authorized network, with original parts and factory service. In practice, the package anticipates part of the overhaul costs and gives the buyer more predictability in the maintenance of the car in the first years of use.
Outside of X Week, the dealership network maintains commercial conditions for the rest of the brand’s zero-km line. Those looking for used cars have the BMW Premium Selection, a program of verified used cars that come with a two-year factory warranty. The automaker did not disclose sales targets or the number of units available during the campaign.
