The More Drivers Program reached the historic mark of 138,586 registrations in its most recent edition. The number represents a growth of 150% compared to the first notice, launched in 2023, when 55,550 applications were registered.
The initiative offers free change of category of the National Driver’s License (CNH) and professional training to work in the cargo and passenger transport sector. The strong adhesion reflects the search for free qualification in the labor market and aims to fill the deficit of qualified labor faced by the transport sector in Brazil.

Full funding by SEST SENAT
Created to train new professional drivers, the program includes the transition from CNH to categories C, D and E. The entire process is fully funded by SEST SENAT, covering both the fees related to the change of license and the specialized training courses, taught at the School of Professional Drivers or in approved institutions.
Schedule and first call
Registered candidates now enter the classification phase, according to the guidelines of the official notice:
- August 3: disclosure of the first list of summoned and publication of the official schedule of the next calls.
- Submission of documents: selected candidates will receive guidance by email to send the required documentation within the stipulated deadlines. Failure to comply with this step will result in automatic disaccreditation.
Selection criteria and order of priority
The classification of participants will follow an order of priority focused on social inclusion and income:
- Women registered in the Unified Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico);
- Other candidates enrolled in CadÚnico;
- Women not registered in the social program;
- General public.
Tiebreaker rule: In all priority groups, preference will be given to candidates without a formal employment relationship (unemployed) and those with the highest number of direct dependents.
In addition to generating new job and income opportunities for workers, the professional training promoted by the program seeks to raise road safety standards and address the shortage of drivers in road transport of cargo and passengers throughout the country.
