Fiat has launched a special series in Italy to try to rejuvenate the public of the Topolino, its low-cost electric ‘microcar’. Named Topolino Sport Special Edition, the version bets on a bolder look, inspired by the classic Nuova 500 Sport from 1958, and arrives in Italian stores in September for a promotional price of € 10,550 (about R$ 62.5 thousand).

Derived from the Citroën Ami and launched in 2023, the Topolino has become a frequent presence in major European cities precisely because of its ease of circulation and parking. It shares the base with the Citroën Ami and the Opel Rocks, but it gained its own Fiat identity, with round headlights and features that evoke the Fiat 500 of the 1950s. The Sport series tries to expand this audience by betting on customization: there are four body colors combined with three stripe patterns — white with red stripe, blue with white stripes, yellow with black stripes and black with red stripes.
To reinforce the sporty air, Fiat darkened the lower bumper frame, headlight frames and mirror caps, in addition to adopting matte black Sport hubcaps. The front logo follows the color of the stripes.

Inside, the cabin gains black seats and a redesigned Dolcevita Box storage compartment, now covered in vinyl with a carbon fiber effect and closed by a new black strap. As a gift, each buyer receives the dual stereo speaker kit with Bluetooth named Monsterlino.
Despite the renewed look, the Topolino remains technically unchanged. Classified as a light quadricycle (L6e category), it has an 8.2 hp electric motor, 5.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, a range of 75 km and a top speed limited to 45 km/h. With 2.53 m in length and only two seats, it fully recharges in less than four hours at a common domestic outlet — a strictly urban vehicle, aimed at short distances and zero emissions.

The bet on the young public has a practical explanation: in Italy, the Topolino can be driven from the age of 14, with the AM license — the same as mopeds. In addition to the debut price of R$ 62.5 thousand (€ 10,550), compared to the R$ 68 thousand (€ 11,490) list, Fiat offers financing with installments starting at R$ 349 (€ 59) per month, subject to the disposal of a used vehicle.
