The Fiat Strada reached 100 thousand units sold in Brazil in 2026, a mark reached in early August, Stellantis said on Monday (10). The volume keeps the compact pickup as the best-selling vehicle in the country — and not just in its category — a position it has held since 2021.
The Strada ended July with 97,948 registrations in the year, ahead of all cars and light commercial vehicles in the market. According to Fenabrave, the advantage over the second place in the overall ranking, the Volkswagen Polo, is 52%. In July alone, there were 14,912 units.
Leader of the Brazilian market between 2021 and 2025, when it totaled 142,903 registrations in a single year, the pickup is on its way to its sixth consecutive title. According to the manufacturer, in 2025 the Strada was also the best-selling vehicle in South America.
A sequence of firsts in the segment

Part of the explanation lies in the model’s history. Since its arrival on the market in 1998, the Strada has been incorporating solutions that have expanded the use of the compact pickup beyond work. The extended cab came in 1999 and the double cab in 2009. In 2013, the model started to offer a third door, a feature then unprecedented in the category, which facilitated access to the second row of seats.
The current generation, launched in 2020, took another leap: it was the first compact pickup truck in the country with four doors and capacity for five occupants, in addition to introducing electronic stability control in the segment. In 2021, Strada debuted the CVT automatic transmission among small pickup trucks and, in 2023, it gained the 1.0 Turbo 200 flex engine, with 130 hp and 20,4 kgfm with ethanol.
Five versions and a bucket of up to 1,354 liters
The most recent novelty arrived in January of this year, when the Ranch and Ultra versions started to have Connect Fiat. The platform allows you to consult vehicle information remotely, track in real time and call emergency services and assistance by smartphone.
Today the Strada is sold in five versions, with Plus cab and double cab options. The Plus cabin configurations carry up to 720 kg and have a bucket of up to 1,354 liters; The double cab ones carry up to 650 kg, with 844 liters of volume. In all of them, the towing capacity is 400 kg. The line uses the 1.3 Firefly flex, with 107 hp and 13,7 kgfm with ethanol, or the 1.0 Turbo 200, restricted to the top of the range.
