The Fiat Argo X 2027 will arrive on the Brazilian market with six versions, according to Autos Segredos. The division of the range will be made by the engine: the aspirated 1.0 Firefly will equip the Drive, Audace and Audace Plus configurations, while the 1.0 Turbo 200 Flex with mild hybridization (MHEV) of 12 Volts will be with Drive, Audace and Impetus.

Produced in Betim (MG), the hatch is the direct brother of the European Big Panda and inaugurates Fiat’s generation of global compacts made in Brazil. It is expected to arrive at dealerships between September and October.

The 1.0 Firefly today delivers 71 hp at 6.000 rpm and 10 kgfm at 3.250 rpm with gasoline, numbers that rise to 75 hp and 10,7 kgfm with ethanol, always associated with the five-speed manual transmission. The Turbo 200 will have its power reduced to 116 hp, a calibration that will debut in the Jeep Avenger, according to Autos Segredos. The torque of 20,4 kgfm will be maintained with ethanol or gasoline, and the gearbox continues to be the CVT that simulates seven gears.

Six airbags as standard from the entry-level version

The Argo X will debut as one of the safest models ever produced by Fiat in Betim, with six airbags as standard across the line and a driving assistance package (ADAS) in even the simplest configuration. The manual Drive 1.0 will bring lane keeping assistant, lane departure alert, driver fatigue detector and autonomous emergency braking with vehicle, cyclist and pedestrian recognition.

In the most complete versions, there is traffic sign recognition and automatic high beam switching. Adaptive cruise control (ACC), on the other hand, will not be offered in any configuration.

The bodywork will be the same as the European model, with differences in details: the Argo X will not have the model name on the sides or the Fiat inscription on the trunk lid, and the grille will receive the brand’s logo centered. The headlights maintain the design of the Great Panda, but without the light signature in pixels — the entry-level versions will use halogen lighting and the more expensive ones, LED.

Inside, the dashboard will be the same as the future Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback SUVs, also produced domestically. The 1.0 Firefly versions will have an instrument panel with a 3.5-inch TFT screen; the Turbo 200 MHEV, a 10-inch fully digital panel, integrated with the multimedia center shared with Citroën, Peugeot and Jeep Avenger.

What to expect from the Fiat Argo X 2027

Despite the adventurous appeal of the name and look, the Argo X is a compact hatch and should compete for space with Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai HB20, Chevrolet Onix, Peugeot 208 and Citroën C3 — Fiat’s subcompact SUV position continues with the Pulse. The launch is expected for September, and industry publications project prices starting at around R$ 100 thousand, without confirmation from the manufacturer. The expectation is that the current generation of the Argo will remain in line, in a reduced range.
