Formula 1 debuted a new experience aimed at the high-income public: a dinner served inside a container that runs along the circuit itself on the back of a flatbed truck. Named “The Outlap”, the attraction was created by LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy), one of the main sponsors of the category, and debuted over the weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, in Belgium.
According to the organization, it is an itinerant dining room that moves around the track and accommodates only twelve guests at a time. The course is tailor-made for each Grand Prix and provides stops at the points considered most emblematic of each track.
At each stop, a former driver acts as host and narrates episodes related to that section of the track. According to the company, each stage of the experience is accompanied by a dish signed by a renowned chef, with a locally inspired menu, and paired with wines and spirits from the Moët Hennessy portfolio. F1 has not released the name of the ambassador, but images on the official hospitality website show former champions Mika Häkkinen and Jacques Villeneuve.

Also according to the manufacturer, no edition is repeated: each circuit inspires its own itinerary, a set of stories and a gastronomic identity. The proposal adds to already known F1 hospitality experiences, such as fast laps and pit visits, but differentiates itself by transforming the movement around the track into the meal scenario. This year, the attraction is restricted to the European stages of the championship.
The price was not disclosed. According to the information available, Outlap works as an additional for those who already have a ticket to the Paddock Club, the most expensive hospitality package in F1. A three-day Paddock Club ticket costs, on average, from US$ 10 thousand to US$ 15 thousand, in an amount that varies according to the country that hosts the race. The cost of the traveling dinner would be charged separately.
To acquire the experience, the interested party needs to access the official Formula 1 hospitality sector and, most likely, already be a customer of the Paddock Club – a condition that, in practice, limits access to a small group of spectators.
