Chevrolet started the month of March with an aggressive price reduction campaign to move its market in Brazil, with the Onix hatchback and the Captiva EV electric SUV as highlights. The brand’s strategy aims to heat up sales both in the disputed hatchback segment and in the growing niche of battery-powered utility vehicles.
In the case of the Onix, the configuration contemplated is the entry-level, equipped with a 1.0-liter aspirated flex engine. For cash payment, the value of the model dropped from R$ 101.790 to R$ 89.290, a significant discount of R$ 12.500. The automaker also made available financing conditions to facilitate credit: down payment of R$ 29,900, installments starting at R$ 1,495 and an interest rate of 1.46% per month.
The compact, which recently underwent aesthetic updates in the 2026 line to remain competitive against rivals, delivers up to 82 hp of power and 10,6 kgfm of torque with ethanol. The set, coupled to the six-speed manual transmission, is calibrated for predominantly urban use, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 13 seconds and reaching a top speed of 167 km/h.

Upstairs, the bet falls on the new Captiva EV. The electric SUV of Chinese origin, which draws attention for its modern design with aerodynamic and clean lines, had its price reduced from R$ 219.990 to R$ 199.990 in the top-of-the-line Premier version.
Under the floor, the utility houses a 60 kWh battery pack that powers the 201 hp electric motor and a vigorous 31.6 kgfm of immediate torque. According to the Inmetro standard (PBEV), the homologated autonomy is 304 kilometers. The model also supports fast charging of up to 120 kW at direct current (DC) stations, considerably optimizing the driver’s downtime.
