Close to changing its face completely, the Fiat Argo reached 750 thousand units produced. Launched in 2017, the hatch marked a profound change in the Italian brand’s range, unifying its old line of hatches in a single model, in addition to consolidating a new family. Now, the Argo once again has this mission to renew the range.

The new generation, derived from the Fiat Grande Panda, sold in Europe, is practically ready. The model should be presented at the celebration of the 50 years of operations of the Italian brand in Brazil, in the second week of July.
“Reaching 750 thousand units produced of the Fiat Argo in just nine years reinforces the strength of a project that was born to have a strong impact on the segment. The Argo is a fundamental model for Fiat in Brazil, combining design, efficiency, technology and excellent cost-benefit, always aligned with the real needs of the Brazilian consumer”, reinforces Frederico Battaglia, Head of the Fiat and Abarth brands for South America.

The new Argo will hit the market later this year, built on the CMP platform. This is Stellantis’ global modular base, which is already used in Peugeot and Citroën models, such as 208, 2008, C3, Aircross and Basalt. The platform will also be employed in the Jeep Avenger, which is also about to make its debut.
New Argo family
And the new Argo is already the basis for the next range of Fiat models. AutoPapo has already spotted the successor to Pulse (F2U project), running in tests in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, which will be launched in 2027. In Europe, the new Fastback has already been unveiled and should arrive by 2029.
In all, the new Argo family will have five models, including a seven-seat SUV and a pickup truck.
