There is a fight involving the additive for engine oil. Because manufacturers, parts stores, gas stations and even some dishonest dealerships insist that the driver add the oil to the crankcase.

Many even ask me: “Boris, what is the best additive for engine oil?” and I answer: none. All of them already leave the manufacturer with the necessary and sufficient additives to ensure good durability and performance for the engine.
And there is still an aggravating factor, because sometimes you use an additive somewhere that doesn’t smell or stink. But, in this case of crankcase oil, you have to be very careful, because another extra additive could react chemically with some of the additives that were already in the original oil and harm the engine.
