The year 2025 was marked by the launch of several new trucks and some updates. This increase in competitiveness has changed the ranking of the cheapest pickup trucks in Brazil, especially in the higher segments.

These changes have not yet stopped, there are other trucks scheduled to debut in Brazil in 2026. Volkswagen will have a new compact more apt to match the Fiat Strada, GWM may launch an entry-level Poer, Renault will have Niagara and Kia will have Tasman, in 2027 will come Toyota’s intermediate.

While the news doesn’t arrive, check out how the current truck market is in Brazil. The top 5 of the cheapest ones hasn’t changed much, but from then on there are the news.

1. Volkswagen Saveiro Robust: BRL 112.690

  • Engine: 1.6 16v naturally aspirated
  • Power: 116 hp
  • Torque: 16.4 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 5-speed manual
  • Drive: 4×2 Front
  • Load capacity: 664 kg

Volkswagen has been pricing Saveiro below rival Fiat Strada to benefit from bids and other types of competitions. It has a stronger 1.6 engine than the competitor’s 1.3, but lacks in offering a lower load capacity.

If the use does not require carrying a lot of weight, the buyer of the cheapest pickup truck in Brazil will benefit from the more comfortable ride provided by the coil springs. It is also lower, which can be harmful in off-road use.

The Saveiro Robust comes with dual airbags, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, reverse sensor, lighting in the bed, switchblade key, sound preparation, electric windows and electric locks without remote control on the key. It has to be the car that comes with the least amount of equipment in our market.

Other versions:

  • Saveiro Trendline CS: R$ 120.890
  • Saveiro Robust CD: R$ 130.190
  • Saveiro Extreme CD: R$ 134.190

2. Fiat Strada Endurance: BRL 113.490

  • Engine: 1.3 8v naturally aspirated
  • Power: 107 hp
  • Torque: 13.7 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 5-speed manual
  • Drive: 4×2 Front
  • Load capacity: 720 kg

The Fiat Strada is not the cheapest pickup truck in Brazil by a small margin, but that hasn’t stopped it from being the best-selling car for four consecutive years. The entry-level Endurance version is sold only with a single cab and should be one of the hardest working cars in this country.

It comes equipped with the 1.3 Firefly engine with 107 hp, until 2023 the cheapest model was the only one with the old 1.4 Fire. Its load capacity is the highest in the segment thanks to the suspension with parabolic springs.

The Fiat Strada Endurance has a more complete equipment package than the Saveiro: air conditioning, electric steering, on-board computer, electronic locking of the TC+ differential, lighting in the bed and preparation for sound. The electric windows, electric locks for doors and bucket, alarm and height adjustment in the driver’s seat are part of the only package of options.

Other versions:

  • Strada Freedom CS: R$ 120.490
  • Strada Freedom CD: R$ 129.990
  • Strada Volcano MT: R$ 132.990
  • Strada Volcano AT: R$ 138.990
  • Strada Ultra Turbo: R$ 150.490
  • Strada Ranch Turbo: R$ 150.490

3. Renault Oroch Pro: BRL 126.690

  • Engine: 1.6 16v naturally aspirated
  • Power: 112 hp
  • Torque: 15.6 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 6-speed manual
  • Drive: 4×2 Front
  • Load capacity: 650 kg

The Renault Oroch Pro is the cheapest double cab pickup truck in Brazil, the VW Saveiro Robust CD starts at R$ 130.190 and the Fiat Strada Freedom CD costs R$ 129.990.

It stands out from rivals in this segment for having a larger size and a more generous free span, as it is derived from the Duster SUV. Another advantage is the six-speed manual transmission, which helps maintain lower revs on the highway when compared to the short five-speed gearboxes of rivals.

Its load capacity is the same as the Fiat Strada double cab and higher than that of the Saveiro CD. It features multilink rear suspension, front electric windows, air conditioning, electric locks with remote control on the key, on-board computer, height-adjustable steering wheel, radio predisposition, electro-hydraulic steering, cruise control, dual airbag, spare tire with mixed-use tires and rear window defogger.

Other versions:

  • Oroch Intense: R$ 133.790
  • Oroch Iconic: R$ 140.790

4. Chevrolet Montana 1.2 MT Turbo: BRL 144.490

  • Engine: 1.2 12v turbo
  • Power: 141 hp
  • Torque: 22.9 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 6-speed manual
  • Drive: 4×2 Front
  • Load capacity: 637 kg

The new Chevrolet Montana is the compact pickup truck that has taken over as a passenger car, it doesn’t try to fight with the other compacts as a work tool. That’s why it is closer to the Tracker SUV in terms of finish, takes more care in technology and is always equipped with asphalt tires.

Its cabin is the most spacious in the segment and at the wheel the dynamic behavior resembles that of a sedan. The entry-level version is the only one with a six-speed manual transmission currently, the LT started to bring an automatic gearbox in 2025.

This entry-level version has a multimedia center with Wi-Fi router, body-colored mirrors and door handles, connected services, air conditioning, six airbags, on-board computer, driver’s seat with height adjustment, electric windows on all four doors, alarm, rear window defogger, electric mirror adjustment, tire pressure monitor, twilight sensor and speed limiter.

Other versions:

  • Montana LT AT: R$ 150.690
  • Montana LTZ AT: R$ 167.990
  • Montana Premier AT: R$ 175.990
  • Montana RS AT: R$ 180.990

5. Fiat Toro Endurance: BRL 163.990

  • Engine: 1.3 16v turbo
  • Power: 176 hp
  • Torque: 27.5 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 6-speed automatic
  • Drive: 4×2 Front
  • Load capacity: 750 kg

Fiat Toro is in an intermediate segment between traditional compact and medium vehicles. The closest to it on the market is the imported Ford Maverick and the sister Ram Rampage, but none has simpler versions under R$ 200 thousand.

The Toro Endurance is the cheapest version and was once more focused on work, today it is more stuffed and has even lost the steel wheels with hubcaps. In the 2026 line came a face-lift that brought new features to the interior and disc brakes on all four wheels. But the 1.3 turbo engine lost 9 hp and the maximum torque now appears 250 rpm later.

As standard, it has six airbags, alloy wheels, air conditioning, electronic parking brake, driver’s seat with height adjustment, automatic transmission, digital panel, cruise control, electric windows on all four doors, TC+ electronic differential lock, multimedia center, rear defogger, full-LED headlights, rear parking sensor and steering wheel with height and depth adjustment.

Other versions

  • Toro Freedom T270 4×2: R$ 173.990
  • Toro Volcano T270 4×2: R$ 190.990
  • Toro Ultra T270 4×2: R$ 200.990
  • Toro Volcano 2.2 diesel 4×4: R$ 215.990
  • Toro Ranch 2.2 diesel 4×4: R$ 233,990.00

6. Ford Maverick Lariat Black: BRL 219.900

  • Engine: 2.0 16v turbo
  • Power: 235 hp
  • Torque: 38.7 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 8-speed automatic
  • Drive: 4×4 integral
  • Load capacity: 618 kg

The Ford Maverick received an update for the 2025 line that looks discreet, but brought several small improvements requested by the public. It gained equipment such as a parking sensor, larger multimedia center, sunroof, digital panel, 360° cameras, ADAS package and premium sound system.

It continues with the 2.0 turbo engine of 235 hp, which makes it one of the fastest vehicles in its price range. The cabin is more spacious than that of the Ram Rampage, but the finish is simpler.

In addition to the items we have already mentioned, the Maverick Lariat Black has a marine canopy, full-LED headlights, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, Premium synthetic material upholstery, seven airbags and all-wheel drive.

Other versions

  • Maverick Lariat Hybrid: R$ 239.900
  • Maverick Tremor: R$ 239.900

7. GWM Poer P30 Trail: BRL 220.000

  • Engine: 2.4 16v turbodiesel
  • Power: 184 hp
  • Torque: 48.9 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 9-speed automatic
  • Traction: 4×4 temporary with reduced
  • Load capacity: 1,018 kg

The cheapest medium pickup truck in Brazil is the GWM Poer P30 Trail, which had its price set at R$ 220 thousand after the pre-sale. Despite this low value, it is not a “bull’s-foot” model for work and even comes with an ADAS package.

The Poer P30 is one of three cars made at GWM’s Brazilian factory and received changes to be sold here, such as the rear suspension by semi-elliptical springs. Its engine is a 2.4 turbodiesel, which works together with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The Trail version comes standard with four airbags, alloy wheels, synthetic seats, electric adjustment for the driver’s seat, ADAS level 2 package, 360° camera, four-wheel disc brakes, digital panel, two-zone air conditioning, full-LED headlights, fog light and electronic parking brake.

Other versions:

  • Poer P30 Exclusive: R$ 240.000

8. Ram Rampage Big Horn: R$ 228.990

  • Engine: 2.2 16v turbodiesel
  • Power: 200 hp
  • Torque: 45.9 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 9-speed automatic
  • Drive: 4×4 integral
  • Load capacity: 1,015 kg

The cheapest version of the Ram Rampage debuted in early 2025 along with the new 2.2 turbodiesel engine. The Big Horn has a look based on the Laramie, but removes a good part of the chrome, uses smaller wheels and loses the ADAS package to have the lower price.

The 2.2 diesel gave new life to the pickup, not only because it was stronger but also because it had the strength in a wider range of revs. With this, it has also become more economical.

This model already has a well-packed equipment package, with connected services, two-zone air conditioning, reversing camera, face-to-face key, cruise control, full-LED headlights, LED fog lights, electronic parking brake, digital panel, leather-covered steering wheel, fabric seats and six airbags.

Other versions:

  • Engine: 2.2 16v turbodiesel
  • Power: 200 hp
  • Torque: 40.9 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 6-speed manual
  • Traction: 4×4 temporary with reduced
  • Load capacity: 1,020 kg

The cheapest Fiat Titano is the Endurance, the only version with a manual transmission and focused on work. In 2025 it started to be made in Argentina, which came with a series of improvements that were necessary.

The engine is the same 2.2 turbodiesel as the Rampage, but in this manual version the torque is limited to 40,9 kgfm. Attraction is 4×4 with reduced and the rear brake is now disc.

The equipment package is simple, with electric windows on all four doors, air conditioning, radio, six airbags, mechanical locking in the rear differential, electric adjustment of the mirrors, cigarette lighter, steering wheel with height and depth adjustment, rear defogger, on-board computer and multifunctional steering wheel.

Other versions:

  • Titano Ranch AT: R$ 285.990

10. Ford Ranger Black: BRL 242.600

  • Engine: 2.0 16v turbodiesel
  • Power: 170 hp
  • Torque: 41.3 kgfm
  • Exchange rate: 6-speed automatic
  • Traction: 4×2 rear
  • Load capacity: 1,031 kg

The Ford Ranger Black is a better-equipped 4×2 version for those who want to have a medium pickup, but the use will be on the asphalt. It is also the entry door of the model, with a lower price than the manual XL 4×4 made for the job.

The engine that equips the Ranger Black is the 2.0 EcoBlue, which does not do badly in performance and has low consumption as a highlight. Ford achieved a good suspension setup that makes the truck comfortable even empty.

As standard, it has side running boards, full-LED headlights, digital panel, multimedia center, air conditioning, alloy wheels, twilight sensor, induction charger, connected services, reversing camera, rear parking sensor, seven airbags, cruise control and driving mode selector.
