The Rio de Janeiro Traffic Department (Detran-RJ) released information on the payment of the Annual Vehicle Licensing Renewal Fee (TRLAV). With paid 2026 licensing, it is possible to automatically renew the Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV).
Once the fee is paid, the new document can be accessed through the CNH do Brasil application, the Senatran service portal or the Detran website.

The DMV-RJ has established the TRLAV payment schedule that varies according to the end of the vehicle’s license plate:
Until the end of these deadlines, the 2025 licensing document will be valid, and users will not be harmed.
For the process to be complete and the driver to be able to issue the CRLV, in addition to paying the fee, it is necessary that he has also paid the IPVA and all traffic fines and pending issues associated with the vehicle. Debts from previous years also prevent the issuance of the document.
TRLAV in Rio de Janeiro has one of the highest values in the country, costing R$ 293.71. Payment can be made 100% digitally.
To obtain the CRLV 2026, it is necessary to pay the Fee Regularization Guide (GRT), obtained on the Bradesco website. After payment, the digital licensing document can be accessed by the user at the Detran RJ Digital Post, in the CNH do Brasil application (former Digital Transit Card – CDT) or through the portal of the National Traffic Secretariat (Senatran).
To complete this action, you must be registered in the Gov.br. Those who prefer can request the printing of the CRLV-e on A4 paper at a Detran RJ inspection post. Check out the step-by-step guide to issue the car document on each platform:
