Hyundai prepares offensive in the segment of access SUVs, in which the VW Tera is the main representative in the Brazilian market
Announced almost a year ago, when it announced the expansion of the Piracicaba (SP) plant to 215 thousand units per year, Hyundai confirmed that it will launch a new product positioned between the HB20 (it will remain in line) and the Creta. The South Korean brand has not disclosed anything about the release date (certainly still in 2026), product name or body type. It only beckoned to something between a hatchback and an SUV, in terms of price. However, the bets are concentrated between two possibilities.

GM will also have a novelty for its plant in Gravataí (RS), in the next quarter. The new Sonic coupe SUV, based on the Onix hatch, will be positioned below the Tracker. Tera, Kardian and Pulse are among the targets, in size and price. In the second half of the year, Renault’s Niagara intermediate pickup will arrive from Argentina, with the same architecture as the Boreal SUV and with the leader Toro as its main target.

Production of the third generation of Audi’s compact SUV — Q3 and Q3 Sportback — has already begun in São José dos Pinhais (PR). Arriving at dealerships in the second half of May, the German brand highlights more fluid lines and flat surfaces. The traditional hexagonal radiator grille will be wider and more horizontal. Daytime running lights (DRL) above and LED Matrix headlights below. Roof will have a very sharp curvature in the Sportback version. At the rear, in addition to a light strip below the taillights, the four intertwined rings that identify the brand will be illuminated.

There will be a total renovation of the interior, including without the traditional rods behind the steering wheel.
