Payment of the annual renewal fee was integrated into the collection of the IPVA and deadlines run from March to November; see how to pay online
The Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV) must be renewed annually so that the driver can circulate with his car. This occurs automatically with the payment of the Motor Vehicle Property Tax (IPVA) and the Annual Vehicle Licensing Renewal Fee (TRLAV).
The Bahia Traffic Department (Detran-BA) has already released the dates and values of the 2026 licensing. Once paid, the new document can be accessed through the CNH do Brasil application, the Senatran service portal or the Detran website.

In Bahia, the TRLAV is paid together with the IPVA, until the deadline of the single quota (with or without discount) or the fifth installment in case of installments. The tax calendar, which also includes licensing, varies according to the end of the vehicle’s license plate and the form of payment:
| Plate | Single quota with an 8% | Single quota or 5th installment |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 3/30 | 07/30 |
| 2 | 3/31 | 7/31 |
| 3 | 04 | 28/08 |
| 4 | 04 | 31/08 |
| 5 | 05 | 29/09 |
| 6 | 29/05 | 09/30 |
| 7 | 06 | 29/10 |
| 8 | 06 | 30/10 |
| 9 | 07 | 11/27 |
| 0 | 7/31 | 11/30 |
For the process to be complete and the driver to be able to issue the CRLV, in addition to paying the fee and the IPVA, it is necessary that he has also paid all traffic fines and pending issues associated with the vehicle.
The government makes life easier for vehicle owners by offering the option of payment in cash, at any banking institution, via PIX. Bringing together IPVA in a single quota, licensing fee and possible fines, integrated licensing can be carried out 100% digitally through the ba.gov.br platform:
This process can also be done outside in person at a Detra BA service station.
The driver can also access the car document through the CNH do Brasil app (former Digital Traffic Card – CDT), simply:
According to the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), driving with an expired CRLV is a very serious infraction, with a fine of R$ 293.47 and seven points on the National Driver’s License (CNH).
