Stellantis has unveiled the first car equipped with the flex version of the 2.0 turbo Hurricane engine, the Jeep Compass Blackhawk. The sporty version of the medium SUV can now be fueled with ethanol, gasoline or any mixture between the two fuels.

The engine has not had its power or torque changed, it continues with 272 hp and 40,8 kgfm regardless of fuel. The official data also shows the same performance, with acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 228 km/h.

The gasoline consumption of the Jeep Compass Blackhawk remained the same in the urban cycle, on the road it was 0.2 km/l more economical. When fueled with ethanol, it is more drunk than a Ford Mustang GT. Check out the averages:

Fuel City Road
Gasoline 8.5 km/l 11 km/l
Ethanol 6 km/l 7.6 km/l

An Achilles heel of the Jeep Compass Blackhawk was even more evident with the flex version: the size of the tank. The volume of 55 liters was maintained, resulting in an estimated autonomy of 330 km in the city and 418 km on the highway when fueled with ethanol.

Even with high consumption, fueling with ethanol is advantageous in some regions of Brazil. The Jeep Compass Blackhawk Flex joins the Land Rover Discovery Sport and its brother Range Rover Evoque as the only cars with a flex engine above 200 hp in Brazil.

This fuel-flexible version was developed by Stellantis’ Brazilian engineering. According to Jeep, the Hurricane engine received new fuel pumps, spark plugs and injectors, in addition to receiving changes in the intake system and turbo.

Stellantis has not yet confirmed, but this engine will arrive in the Jeep Commander and Ram Rampage in the coming days.

What’s in the 2026 Jeep Compass Blackhawk Flex

The Jeep Compass Blackhawk Flex received a slight price adjustment, going to R$ 274.290. Apart from the price, the only changes to the car were those made by engineering so that it can run on ethanol, the equipment package remains the same.

The 2.0 turbo engine with 272 hp is accompanied by a 9-speed automatic transmission with reduced first gear and all-wheel drive. Even with the sporty proposal, the SUV does not dispense with the terrain selector.

The sporty version of the Jeep Compass is already complete from the factory, the only options are the paint options Granite Gray metallic, Sting Gray pearlescent, and Polar White peloriza, all with a black roof. The only one at no additional cost is the Solid Carbon Black.

The Jeep Compass Blackhawk Flex has two-zone air conditioning, leather and suede seats, panoramic sunroof, electric trunk opening, Alexa virtual assistant, connected services, Beats sound system with eight speakers and subwoofer, native GPS navigator, electronic parking brake, electrochromic interior mirror and 19-inch wheels painted in black.

The safety package includes seven airbags and an ADAS level 2 package, which features a license plate reader, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane centering, lane departure alert, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic detection.

The Jeep Compass Blackhawk Flex 2026/2026 is now available at the brand’s dealership network.
