Simplified variant of the Urban 150 EFI bets on cost-benefit and brings a set with 13.5 hp to attract the public looking for agility in urban traffic
Shineray has expanded its presence in the Brazilian two-wheeled market with the launch of the Urban Lite. The model, which arrives with a suggested price of R$ 12.490 – a value that reaches R$ 13.371 after the incidence of freight rates – is positioned as a more affordable entry alternative in relation to the well-known Urban 150 EFI. The manufacturer’s strategy focuses on the consumer who seeks agility for metropolitan commuting with a reduced acquisition cost.
The new scooter inherits the mechanical basis of the Urban family, but simplifies the equipment package to become the brand’s gateway to the 150 cm³ segment. The focus of the project is on functionality in the daily life of large cities, where economy and ease of driving usually dictate the buyer’s choice in the face of heavy traffic.

Under the fairing, the Urban Lite features a 149.48 cm³ single-cylinder engine with electronic injection. The engine develops 13,5 hp and 1,4 kgfm. The transmission is of the CVT type, a solution that prioritizes comfort by eliminating the need for manual gear changes. The fuel tank, with a capacity of 8 liters, works together with the injection system to offer an autonomy compatible with intense use on residential routes.

The construction uses 13″ wheels and wide tires, which provides greater stability at urban speeds and safety when overcoming irregularities in the asphalt. Despite the low-cost proposal, the model leaves the factory with full-LED lighting and an easy-to-read digital panel. In terms of convenience, Shineray kept USB and USB-C ports integrated, allowing mobile devices to be charged during the journey.
With this launch, the manufacturer consolidates its presence in the country by offering a product that tries to balance financial rationality with a contemporary design. The Urban Lite is now available at the brand’s dealerships in three color options.
