Recall involves Tucson Crossover units manufactured between 2021 and 2024; The problem is not in the vehicle itself, but in the installation of the trailer
Hyundai announced a recall of more than 50 units of the Tucson Crossover, manufactured between 2021 and 2024, in the United States, due to a fire risk. The problem identified by the automaker is not in the vehicle itself, but in the optional trailer hitch.
Fires are occurring due to a technical fault in the installation of the optional trailer. The included wire harness was installed incorrectly, resulting in the control module being located in a location susceptible to water and moisture damage.

This failure can cause brake lights to malfunction, ranging from poor contact to complete shutdown. A short circuit can also occur in the vehicle, which results in fires. Hyundai has so far recorded three fires related to this problem and more than 200 complaints about the malfunction of the headlight.
This is the second recall made by the automaker this year involving fire risk. In the previous case, the affected model was the Santa Fe crossover, which also had a failure in the engines, which were incorrectly assembled.
