Approach on BR-381, in Pouso Alegre (MG), intercepted an armored vehicle with irregular licensing and blockade by the Supreme Court after the arrest of those investigated
The Federal Highway Police seized, on the night of last Wednesday (4), an armored Land Rover Range Rover belonging to Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão, a central figure in Operation Compliance Zero. The approach took place on BR-381, in Pouso Alegre (MG), and intercepted the vehicle valued at R$ 700 thousand, which had a circulation restriction imposed by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) due to investigations against an alleged private militia led by businessman Daniel Vorcaro.
Known by the code name “Sicario”, Luiz Phillipi is described by investigators as the main operational arm and head of security of Vorcaro. His role in the organization would go beyond personal protection: Mourão is suspected of coordinating intimidation tactics, persecution of journalists, and illegal access to government databases. The nickname, which refers to hired killers, is used by the Federal Police to illustrate the profile of coercion attributed to the group.
