SUV receives visual touches, interior with integrated Google and improved e-Power hybrid technology; national launch is scheduled for the end of 2026
Nissan has made official the launch of the 2026 X-Trail line in Europe, anticipating the updates that should land in the Brazilian market in the last quarter of this year. The SUV, which is one of the brand’s global pillars, received specific improvements in design and a significant leap in connectivity and driver assistance.
On the outside, the changes are subtle and focused on the visual identity. The characteristic “V-Motion” grille has been slightly redesigned, gaining new side air intakes that reinforce the presence of the SUV. However, it is in the interior that Nissan has promoted the greatest evolution. The cabin now adopts high-end materials, such as premium leather and wood accents, as well as two 12.3″ screens that run a multimedia system with natively integrated Google services.

The technology package has been enhanced with the updated ProPILOT Assist system, which now uses GPS data to automatically adjust speed when cornering and exiting highways. Another novelty is the 360° vision monitor with an “invisible hood” function, facilitating maneuvers on uneven terrain or confined spaces.
Under the hood, Nissan retains the exclusive e-Power technology. In it, the 1.5 turbo gasoline engine acts strictly as an energy generator for the battery, while traction is exerted only by the electric motors. The set delivers 204 hp in the front-wheel drive version and 213 hp in the all-wheel drive variant (e-4ORCE). This configuration allows for an electric driving experience without the reliance on external charging infrastructure.
The 2026 line also introduces the adventurous N-Trek version, which is distinguished by its robust bumpers, “magma red” details and an interior with waterproof upholstery, aimed at recreational use. Although prices for Europe have not yet been detailed, the model is a key piece in Nissan’s strategy for Brazil in 2026.
