Super pickup also features Bilstein active shock absorbers, Dana 60 axle and luxury finish to compete at the top of the off-road segment
Ram confirmed the return of its high-performance division, SRT, with the announcement of the 2027 line of the 1500 TRX pickup — the most extreme version of the pickup truck. The launch marks a clear stance by the automaker against the prevailing trend of downsizing (engine reduction) and total electrification in the sector. This is because the model maintains its bet on the traditional Hemi V8 engine, aiming to reposition itself as a technical reference in the off-road sports pickup segment.

The mechanical assembly is the protagonist of the project. The turbocharged 6.2 V8 engine received a new calibration to deliver 777 horsepower. The massive torque allows acceleration from 0 to 96 km/h in 3.5 seconds, performance comparable to that of super sports cars.
To manage this force over rough terrain, Ram has equipped the TRX with Bilstein Blackhawk e2 active shock absorbers. The system uses sensors to monitor the vehicle’s dynamics and, when it detects that the wheels have lost contact with the ground in a jump, it preemptively stiffens the components to absorb the impact of landing.

The pickup has 30 centimeters of ground clearance and a Dana 60 rear axle, essential for durability in extreme use. The model-specific “Baja” driving mode selector adjusts the all-wheel drive to send 75% of the torque to the rear axle, optimising performance on sand and dunes.

Inside, the proposal is to balance mechanical robustness with the comfort of luxury sedans. The cabin offers leather-covered seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions. The technological package includes a head-up display and a new 14.5″ vertical multimedia center, integrated with a Harman Kardon sound system with 19 speakers.

To celebrate the return of the SRT acronym, Ram introduces the special edition “Bloodshot Night”. The version is differentiated by its two-tone paint (black and red), internal and external carbon fiber finishes and wheels prepared for the use of beadlocks, aimed at heavy trails.
