This weekend, on August 8 and 9, the city of Goiânia (GO) will host the 3rd Automotive Meeting of Old Vehicles, promoted by Tramontina PRO in partnership with the Garagem do Beetle club. The exhibition takes place in the Civic Square, in the Central Sector, with free admission and about 300 vehicles planned.
The event opens at 8 am on both days and continues until 8 pm on Saturday and until 3 pm on Sunday. According to the organizers, six vintage vehicle clubs in the capital have confirmed their presence. Anyone who wants to exhibit a car needs to register through Sympla; For the visiting public there is no registration.
The meeting is part of the official calendar of events in Goiânia and has the support of the city hall, through the Department of Sports and Leisure. The previous edition had been held at Tramontina’s distribution center on BR-153, in Jardim Guanabara, in a single day.
In addition to the cars, the program includes a workshop set up to exhibit the line of organizers and the new catalog of Tramontina PRO tools and batteries, stands of companies in the sector, networking area, musical attractions and activities for children. Royal Enfield is among the exhibiting brands.
A market of R$ 32.6 billion

Antique motoring moves around R$ 32.6 billion per year in Brazil, according to a survey by JDA Research commissioned by the International Federation of Antique Vehicles (FIVA), represented in the country by the Brazilian Federation of Antique Vehicles (FBVA). The survey points to 3.2 million historic vehicles — 3% of the national fleet — in the hands of about 1.2 million collectors, with an average of 2.7 cars per owner.
The study also helps to explain why meetings like the one in Goiânia have multiplied: 88% of Brazilian collectors attend events of this kind, and participation in them accounts for R$ 3.5 billion of the total handled by the sector.
“More than preserving vehicles, the culture of the old keeps alive stories, knowledge and a passion that crosses generations”, says Felisberto Moraes, director of Tramontina. “For Tramontina PRO, being present at this meeting is a way of valuing this community and reinforcing our proximity to professionals, collectors and enthusiasts who share with us the care for every detail, the search for quality and respect for work well done.”
Tramontina PRO is the line of tools and organizers aimed at professionals of the Tramontina group, founded in 1911 in Rio Grande do Sul.
