Produced in Resende (RJ), the model arrives first in Paraguay as part of a new investment cycle of R$ 2.8 billion by the Japanese brand
Nissan’s Industrial Complex in Resende (RJ) has started exporting the new Nissan Kait to the Latin American market. Paraguay is the first international destination for the SUV — made based on the old Kicks Play — which began to be marketed in Brazil last December. The move marks the beginning of a trade offensive that aims to supply more than 20 countries in the region from the Rio de Janeiro plant.
Production for the foreign market is one of the pillars of the R$ 2.8 billion investment cycle announced by the Japanese automaker for its Brazilian unit. The investment allowed the modernization of equipment and the creation of 400 new jobs. The Kait is the second SUV launched under this new industrial strategy, consolidating shortly after the arrival of the new Nissan Kicks.

With a length of 4.30 meters and a wheelbase of 2.62 meters, the Kait features an updated design compared to the Kicks Play characterized by the optical assembly divided into full LED and the name of the vehicle centered on the trunk lid. Inside, Nissan has prioritized digitalization to attract a more connected consumer.

The top versions, Advance Plus and Exclusive, are equipped with a 9″ multimedia center and customizable 7″ digital instrument panel. In terms of practicality, the model offers a trunk with 432 liters of capacity, a competitive volume for the compact SUV segment.

Kait is offered in six configurations: Active, Sense, Sense Plus, Advance, Advance Plus and Exclusive. All use the 1.6 16V engine combined with the CVT transmission, in an old set but focused on efficiency and robustness. To reinforce aesthetics, all variants leave the factory with 17″ alloy wheels, and the most expensive options have a diamond finish.
