Brazil is the first country to receive the program; service is valid for new and used models of the NX line starting this month
In a globally unprecedented initiative, Lexus chose Brazil to launch its first official armor certification program. The measure aims to meet the specific demand of the national market for security without compromising one of the brand’s main assets: the long-term warranty. Starting Dec. 22, NX owners will be able to apply ballistic protection while maintaining eligibility for the LexusCare program, which extends vehicle coverage for up to 10 years.
The project was developed to solve a common impasse in the luxury segment: the automatic cancellation of the factory warranty after structural interventions by third parties. To get around this, the Japanese automaker has approved technical processes that ensure the maintenance of the original standards of comfort, safety and performance of the car. The execution of the service will be in charge of Blindadora Avallon, a certified partner for the program.

In this first phase, the certification is exclusive to the NX family of SUVs, encompassing the NX 350h Luxury, NX 350h F-Sport and the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid. The benefit includes zero-kilometer vehicles invoiced as of December 22, but also extends to used models (model year 2025 onwards), upon prior technical inspection at an authorized dealership.
In addition to the maintenance of the vehicle’s mechanical and electrical warranty by Lexus (subject to periodic LexusCare reviews), the customer will have a parallel warranty from the armor company itself, also for 10 years,
