SUV owners should schedule a part change after detecting a mechanical failure that can cause fire; Learn how to contact the brand
Jeep has announced the recall of the Jeep Commander, in its 2025 and 2026 models, due to a failure in the connection of the fuel return pipe. According to the automaker, the defect can result in leaks and, in extreme situations, cause a fire in the engine compartment, generating risks of material damage and serious or fatal injuries to occupants and third parties.
The measure is part of a joint action by Stellantis, which identified the same problem in other vehicles of the group equipped with diesel engines, including the Fiat Toro pickup (2025/2026) and the Ram Rampage (2025).

The Jeep Commander units involved in the recall have chassis (not sequential) with the last eight digits between SKN79541 and TKN80339. The service for inspection and, if necessary, free replacement of the part, officially begins this Monday (16). Jeep estimates that the service execution time is approximately two hours.
Industry experts warn that, in vehicles with this flaw, the fuel can come into contact with heated surfaces of the engine. The rapid evaporation or ignition of the liquid is what increases the risk of flames. To ensure safety, the brand recommends that owners check the status of the vehicle before long trips.
The appointment must be made directly at the Jeep dealership network. For questions or consultations about other models, the manufacturer provides the Customer Service Center at 0800 703 7150, the official website (www.jeep.com.br) or the service channel via WhatsApp at (31) 2123-4000.
