Honda has announced plans to start selling two U.S.-made models in Japan in the second half of 2026: the Acura Integra Type S and the Honda Passport TrailSport Elite.
The initiative follows the creation of a simplified certification system for passenger vehicles produced in the U.S. by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). According to the automaker, the measure will allow it to expand the offer of products in the Japanese market.
