The Grand Theft Auto franchise is historically known for its intense urban chases, crazy escapes from the police, and open roads, but it had never incorporated a large-sized structured racetrack into its vast map. According to information recently revealed through a wide leak of the map of the fictional state of Leonida, the long-awaited GTA VI will bring into its digital ecosystem a fully functional automobile sports complex for the first time in the chronology of the Rockstar Games game series.

According to in-depth analyses released by specialized international portals such as The Drive and Motor1, the circuit preliminarily named Port Gellhorn International Raceway does not identically replicate any physical racetrack existing in the real world. However, the architectural design of the track brings ingenious geometric elements, fast sections, technical kerbs and sections of layout clearly inspired by great temples of world motorsport, encompassing famous technical features coming from legendary tracks such as the classic North American circuit of Sebring – which many believed to be the main inspiration of the virtual racetrack – and even Nürburgring and Monza.

The anticipation around the new open-world game is gigantic, often driven by the trailers and periodic visual teasers released by Rockstar. While players and experts await new official details from the developer, discussion forums and social networks remain heated with projections about speed competitions and how this new attraction will be included in the game’s history.

Experts in the electronic entertainment sector point out that the inclusion of a sports square dedicated to speed significantly expands the range of driving experiences available to players within the franchise’s automotive universe, which has a certain tradition involving vehicles and racing, but which promises to bring something never seen before in this new game. This game that, in addition to all the innovations and surprises it will contain, has a real chance of becoming the most profitable entertainment product in history.

In the 26-minute trailer published this Thursday (27), Rockstar releases scenes of a race track, but does not make it clear that it is the leaked track on the map.
