BYD has reduced the price of the entry-level version of the Dolphin Mini, the best-selling electric car in Brazil, but with some caveats. On the brand’s official website, the GL 2026 configuration went from R$ 118.990 to R$ 109.990 — a cut of R$ 9.000 — in a condition presented as exclusive to individuals (CPF), that is, open to the common consumer, and not just to specific audiences.
Without further details about the conditions of the offer, the Motor1.com site consulted a dealership of the brand that said the opposite: the Dolphin GL is not available to individuals and the promotional price is valid for professional drivers, through the Move Brasil program.

The value, however, is not the floor of the table. According to a survey by specialized portals, the same GL costs R$ 107,990 for PwD customers and R$ 103,990 for taxi drivers who use the IPI exemption; for legal entities (CNPJ), the price is also R$ 109.990.

Even as an entry-level option, the Dolphin Mini GL delivers competitive content. The hatch has a 75 hp and 13.8 kgfm electric motor, a 30.08 kWh battery and a range of 224 km by the Inmetro cycle. As standard, it features 16″ alloy wheels, LED headlights, air conditioning, four airbags, 10.1″ rotating multimedia center, 7″ digital panel, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 4G connection and remote update (OTA). Compared to the more expensive versions, it gives up items such as curtain airbags, 360° camera, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, induction charger and the larger 38 kWh battery, which yields about 280 km.
