The Santa Catarina startup SeaCar released the details of the Velocity, a five-seater speedboat designed to look like a super sports car. The model has a suggested price of R$ 189 thousand, reaches 80 km/h, equivalent to about 43 knots, and makes its public debut at the São Paulo Boat Show, between September 24 and 29, at the São Paulo Expo. Sales start after the event.
According to the company, the design combines sports car references, with evident similarities to Lamborghini models, and features inspired by marine animals, including the orca whale. There is no commercial link between SeaCar and the Italian automaker.
The Velocity accommodates five people in the same arrangement as a passenger car: two seats in the front and a bench seat for three in the back. The list of equipment includes sports seats, LED lighting, sound system and outboard motorization. The manufacturer did not inform the engine power or the dimensions of the vessel.

Car dashboard, speedboat
hull The imitation does not stop at the bodywork. The dashboard reproduces the arrangement of a car, from the positioning of the instrument panel to the shape of the windshield. The set features digital instruments and a raised center console with cup holders, in addition to varied materials in the finish.
Despite the look, the Velocity is not amphibious. It was designed to sail only on water, without any possibility of use on land. The images released so far are from the studio, and the public will see the speedboat for the first time at the São Paulo show.
Founded in 2020 in Santa Catarina, SeaCar started selling in 2023 and today also serves customers in Australia and the United States.
Before the Velocity, the brand already produced the Vehigh, a 14-foot boat, about 4.3 m, with a look copied from Aston Martin’s sports cars. The body is made of fiberglass, and the whimsy in the mime goes so far as to include imitations of alloy wheels applied to the sides of the hull. The engine is the Ford Duratec 2.0 gasoline with 160 hp, coupled to a hydrojet, with a 70-liter tank.
There is a detail that the car look hides: classified as a sports boat, the Vehigh requires a nautical license to be driven, a document issued by the Brazilian Navy and unrelated to the CNH. The rule applies to any motor boat in this category, which should also apply to the Velocity.
