One of the successes of Volkswagen’s stand at the 2018 Motor Show was a concept of a compact pickup to replace the Saveiro, called Tarok

But the project did not go ahead, because a year later the pandemic came and several developments, not only from Volkswagen but from other factories, were impaired. And with that, the Saveiro pickup is still there today, almost eight years later, as the last remnant of the old Gol chassis.

But now his replacement has been ready. The Mobiauto website has already discovered that it will be called Tukan, it will be bigger than Saveiro to fight with Fiat Toro and is scheduled to be launched in the coming months.
