The oil light that comes on the car’s dashboard as a form of warning and indicates the pressure of this component usually deceives the driver a lot. It generates confusion because when it lights up, it is often because there is a lack of oil in the crankcase, that is, the oil level is low. And if the level is low, of course there will be a lack of pressure.

So, many drivers think that that little light is only to indicate the oil level, but that’s not all. In general, if the light comes on, the driver stops at the station, tops up with more oil and the light goes out.
But if the light comes on and the oil is at the correct level, adding more of the component will create a problem. In this situation, what made the alert appear is the lack of pressure, which indicates a problem, in general, serious in the lubrication system.
As a result, the car has to be taken quickly to the workshop to avoid the worst: the engine melting. If this happens to you, pray it’s a defect in the chives only, which indicates the pressure in the lubrication system.
