Fake mileage scam is easy to unmask
The digital odometer has made it easier to tamper with, but on the other hand, cars and dealerships have more accurate real records

Contrary to what many think, with the current digital odometers it is easier to tamper with the marked mileage than in the old ones that are analog.

On the other hand, if before it was difficult to determine whether the odometer had been reduced or not, today there are also electronic ways to detect fraud. First, in the car’s own electronic center, which continues to indicate the original mileage.
Secondly, the concessionaires have an interconnection system and they know when the revisions have been carried out. And, from this information, it is not difficult to determine whether or not there was odometer fraud.
