With the Firefly engine and greater efficiency, the Mobi 2026 reinforces its urban vocation with lower maintenance costs and agility for everyday life
What was considered a “complete car” in the 1990s today defines the basis of the Brazilian automotive market. The Mobi 2026 arrives as the synthesis of the essential urban car, but with a technical novelty that makes it quite attractive: the definitive return of the Firefly engine.

The novelty of the Mobi 2026 is the return of the 1.0 Firefly three-cylinder, six-valve engine. After a period focused on the old Fire engine, Fiat needed to update the mechanical assembly to meet the new pollutant emission standards.
The exchange was positive. Firefly offers:

One of the greatest assets of the Mobi 2026 is not inside the cabin, but in its relationship with the ground. With almost 20 cm of free height, the model surpasses many compact SUVs when it comes to facing ditches, speed bumps and garage ramps.
The entry and exit angles are generous, which avoids that unpleasant noise of the bumper scraping against the asphalt. Added to the new electric steering — which replaces the hydraulics of the previous generation — the Mobi has become an extremely light car to maneuver.

As not everything is rosy, the Mobi 2026 maintains its identity as an “entry-level car” with a spartan finish. A very negative point is that the rear space is limited — ideal for children or very short trips — and the trunk (with 200 liters of capacity) is focused on everyday use, such as grocery shopping or backpacks.
The absence of height adjustment in the driver’s seat can bother taller drivers, although there is height adjustment on the steering wheel.
