Electric cars are becoming popular with Brazilians, mainly because they have a very low cost per km driven for those who only drive in the city. Before 2023 it was necessary to pay more than R$ 150 thousand to have the electric car in Brazil, today they are much more affordable.

The gateway to this world is with subcompact cars with an urban vocation. But they differ from the popular 1.0 by bringing a more technological environment and some more creative solutions.

These cheaper electric cars can be useful tools for those who use the vehicle as a work tool. The energy expenditure for those who drive a lot is less than that of fuel,

Electric cars also have the advantage of less maintenance, since their engine does not require periodic adjustments. The services consist of checking the suspension, the cabin filter and the only fluid that needs to be changed is the battery cooling fluid, which can last more than 100 thousand km.

At the end of 2025 we had the launch of new electric cars in Brazil, many with affordable prices. Check out the updated table:

1. Renault Kwid E-Tech: BRL 99.990

In addition to these novelties, the Kwid E-Tech also features six airbags, electric windows on all four doors and a 290-liter trunk. Its 26.8 kWh battery is small, smaller than that of some hybrids, resulting in only 180 km of autonomy. The positive side of this is that it recharges quickly.
