In its biggest update in history, Jeep Renegade gains an electrified system, a more modern look and significant changes to the cabin
More than ten years after its debut in Brazil, the Jeep Renegade has just received what the brand considers its biggest update in history. The new Renegade 2027 stands out, mainly, for the debut of the 48-volt mild hybrid mechanics in two versions. In addition, all models bring aesthetic novelties that bring us closer to both the new electric Jeep that arrive soon and the bigger brothers, Compass and Commander.
In addition to electrification and facelift, the big commercial bet for the 2027 line is on the repositioning of values, bringing the range with lower prices or equivalent to those practiced in the 2026 line. The entry-level configuration, Altitude, arrives with an aggressive special condition: a launch lot limited to 3,000 units is being offered for R$ 129,990.00, marking a significant reduction of up to R$ 18 thousand.
Going up a notch, the Longitude version costs R$ 158,690.00, which represents a discount of R$ 7 thousand compared to the previous table. The top-of-the-line options gained even more standard items, but the manufacturer chose to keep exactly the same prices as the previous range: the Sahara model is sold for R$ 175,990.00, while the 4×4 Willys variant costs R$ 189,490.00.

In terms of engine, the intermediate versions Longitude and Sahara inaugurate the use of 48V mild hybrid technology (MHEV) associated with the 1.3 turboflex engine with 176 hp and 27,5 kgfm (present in all variants). This system parallel to the conventional electrical arrangement provides mechanical and electrical energy, optimizing torque and reducing urban consumption by about 7%, in addition to reducing CO2 emissions by 8%.
In practice, the urban consumption disclosed reaches 11.9 km/l with gasoline and 8.3 km/l with ethanol, while on the highway it reaches 11.8 km/l (gasoline) and 8.6 km/l (ethanol).
The Renegade Altitude (basic version) maintains the 1.3 turbo set without electrification. The Renegade Willys (top version) is the only one with 4×4 traction and a nine-speed automatic transmission, but it also lacks electrification.

From the outside, the 2027 Jeep Renegade preserves its personality through iconic elements such as the round headlights, the seven-slit grille and the ‘boxy’ bodywork, unchanged. The grille, however, was redesigned so that the slits were more protruding and closed, with a glossy black finish.
The round DRLs, inserted in the previous facelift , continue, but bring four plastic pieces that ‘cut’ the illuminated circle, giving a more futuristic look to the lights. The bumpers have also been redesigned with a squarer look, as well as the 17- and 18-inch wheels that are also unprecedented.

The internal leap was also significant: the cabin has a new panel made with more refined materials. In it, there is greater use of fabrics with a rustic but chic look, which brings earthy, military-green or more neutral tones, depending on the version.
In terms of technology, all versions now offer a new 10.1″ floating multimedia center, which also caused the redesign of the air vents (which bring new graphics). The 8.4″ digital instrument panel continues, but also has a new visual identity.
In response to long-standing market demands, the new raised center console — derived from the Compass and Commander — was designed to offer more space, incorporating a cooling induction phone charger and, finally, air vents for the rear passengers.
The Jeep Renegade is one of the great successes of the Brazilian automotive market, having already surpassed the mark of 700 thousand units manufactured in the country since 2015 and surpassing 580 thousand registrations.
