Knowing that a car is close to changing in 2026 is important for the consumer. This information serves both to haggle over the old model and get a good discount, and to postpone the purchase and take the most up-to-date model.

In 2026, the launch schedule includes more of the debut of new models. But here we separate the five cars that will be renewing until the end of the year.

1. Jeep Renegade

This compact SUV is very successful in Brazil even 11 years after its debut. The Jeep Renegade has already been discontinued in the USA and Europe, the plant in Goiana (PE) is the only one that still produces the model and exports it throughout Latin America.

Now in early 2026 it will be updated once again, with slight touches to its look. But the Jeep Renegade will change more inside, the car will gain the Compass dashboard.

This means that the screen of the multimedia center will be larger and in an elevated position, making it easier to see. The good standard of workmanship will be maintained.

Another novelty that will come in the Jeep Renegade will be the 48-volt mild hybrid system. This can make the wait worthwhile, as it is more effective than the 12-volt system of the Fiat Fastback and will have benefits such as IPVA exemption in some states.

2. Nissan Versa

The Nissan Versa is expected to be one of the best-designed compact sedans today. As the Japanese brand is going through a global suffocation, the model will get an update similar to the one that the Kicks Play went through when it became Kait.

The brand has already revealed photos of this and generated conflicting opinions, mainly due to the divided optical set. Inside came the digital panel, a larger multimedia center and ADAS package with more equipment.

This Nissan Versa “Kaitzado” is expected to debut in Brazil in 2026. The brand still sells the old model here. If you don’t like the new look, this is the time to haggle.

3. Renault Kwid

Renault changed its strategy in Brazil with the launch of the Kardian, offering more sophisticated cars and focusing on retail. Who disagrees with this is the urban Kwid, the cheapest car in the country.

It will change in 2026, with a store bath and losing the adjustable antenna that became a meme. We still don’t have many details about the car, but the images indicate that it will not be identical to the electric model on the outside.

Inside, it may gain a larger multimedia center with wireless mirroring and more equipment. The question is: will it continue to be cheaper than the Fiat Mobi?

4. BYD Dolphin

BYD leveraged electric car sales in Brazil with the Dolphin, launched in 2023. For a Chinese car, three years is an eternity and the compact will be renewed in 2026.

The look has already been revealed in China, it will have small changes without altering the essence of the design signed by Wolfgang Egger. The biggest change is that the bodywork has been unified with the European model, sold here as Dolphin Plus. It is 20 cm longer at the front to be safer in crash tests.

The BYD Dolphin also received a more advanced ADAS package and gear lever on the steering column, something that is common in the Chinese. As the brand loves a promotion, a “spawn” of the old model can occur on the eve of the arrival of the updated version.

5. Fiat Argo

The new generation of the Fiat Argo will be the Italian brand’s biggest launch in 2026. It will arrive as part of the manufacturer’s 50th anniversary celebration and marks the debut of a new platform, which will give rise to a family consisting of two SUVs and a pickup.

It is based on the Italian Big Panda, but with specific changes to be more to the liking of the Brazilian. The new Fiat Argo will take on a more square shape, leaving the traditional hatchback formula to incorporate SUV elements.

The new Fiat Argo will keep the aspirated 1.0 at the base of the range, but in the top versions it will use the 1.0 turbo along with the 12-volt mild hybrid system. Inside will come more safety equipment and technology.

The current generation of the Fiat Argo will continue in line in a single version, the Urban with a 1.0 or 1.3 aspirated engine. For those who are eyeing a 1.0 it may be worth the wait, but if you like the old model you may get a good bargain.
