The Sino-Brazilian brand's compact SUV undergoes restyling, which leaves it with a look similar to its 'bigger brothers' Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8
After presenting it at the 2025 SP Motor Show, Caoa officially launched the Tiggo 5X 2027 SUV. The model underwent a restyling and gained new standard equipment. The Tiggo 5X 2027 is on sale at Caoa Chery’s dealership network with an initial launch price of R$ 119.990 for the entry-level Sport version. The Pro version, also promotional, is priced at R$ 134.990.
Visually, Caoa’s SUV gained changes in the front, rear and C-pillar. The entire optical assembly is full-LED and the taillights are now united. The interior has also been redesigned, with emphasis on the 20.5″ Full HD screen in panoramic format: one for the digital instrument panel and another for the multimedia center with three customizable interface themes.

The multifunction steering wheel was inherited from the Tiggo 8, with buttons in a glossy black finish. The control levers are also new with a premium finish. What also changed in the Tiggo 5X 2027 were the front seats, with integrated headrests, follow a sporty style and use high-strength foam, according to Caoa Chery. The adjustment is electric and the Pro version adds lumbar adjustment.
The center console has also been redesigned, with a retractable lid for cup holders, a 50W ultra-fast induction cell phone charger and new command buttons for functions such as driving modes, descent control (HDC) and panoramic view (AVM). In addition, the model has voice commands.
The model is equipped with up to 7 airbags, in addition to an electronic stability system (ESC), ramp start assistant (HAC), electronic parking brake (EPB) with AutoHold function and reinforced impact absorption structure.
The SUV includes autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control (ACC), blind spot monitoring (BSD), forward collision warning (FCW), lane keeping alert (LDW/LKA), rear cross traffic alert (RCTA), automatic high beam switching (IHC) and 360° high-definition camera.
The engine of the Tiggo 5X 2027 remains the same: 1.5 TCI Turbo Flex with 150 hp of power and 22,7 kgfm of torque. Caoa Chery has recalibrated the throttle response to increase the feeling of agility when driving the SUV.
The transmission is CVT (continuously variable) with 9 simulated gears. The drive is front-wheel drive and the suspension is independent on all four wheels with McPherson at the front and Multilink at the rear. The Sport version has 17-inch wheels and the Pro, 18 inches
The consumption of Tiggo 5X 2027 with gasoline is 11 km/l on the highway and 10 km/l in the city. With ethanol, it does 8 km/l on the highway and 6.6 km/l in the city. The data are from Inmetro’s PBEV
The Caoa Chery Tiggo 5X 2027 is 4.33 meters long, 1.83 m wide, 1.65 m high and has a wheelbase of 2.61 m.
Caoa’s SUV will be sold in three color options, all metallic: black, gray and white.
