The first generation of the Chevrolet Onix was the best-selling car in Brazil. It combined a modern platform, the Gamma II, with the long-lived and reliable Family 1 engine.
The Joy version was the entry-level version, which still used the original look of the compact in 2019. But it already came with air conditioning, electric steering, dual airbags, ABS and electric windows at the front.
These newer versions of the Onix had engine improvements to reduce consumption and a six-speed gearbox, which go well with the large 54-liter tank. The set is cheap to maintain, but the lower suspension that came with these upgrades makes the front scrape on ramps and ditches.

The Zen 1.6 2020 model is priced in the range of R$ 50 thousand in the Fipe table. As it is from the last wave, already with the face-lift, it has the 1.6 SCe engine designed by Nissan, with a cam chain and more powerful than the old 1.6 8v from Renault.

The negative point of it to run on Uber is that it is a small car, some passengers may complain. But in the range of R$ 50 it is not possible to find an Argo Firefly and the Mobi is even tighter.
The Ford Ka was the only car of the brand with the modern 1.0 three-cylinder in Brazil. This engine is to date the most powerful aspirated 1.0 in Brazil, with 85 hp, and is also among the most economical.
The Ka Sedan goes well with this engine thanks to its weight of 1,063 kg. The 445-liter trunk is smaller than the Logan’s, but it makes up for it by having pantograph hinges that don’t take up space in the compartment.
The age limit to run on Uber is 10 years old and the Chevrolet Spin that fits the budget of R$ 50 thousand is the LT of 2018. This means that it will be eligible for only two years. It is also possible to buy a 2019 LS, but this model was focused on direct sales and it is difficult to find a unit in good condition.
The Spin LT came with five seats, that is, the trunk has a cavernous 710 liters. Like the Onix, the minivan also had updates to be more economical and gained a six-speed manual transmission. On routes at higher speeds, such as trips to the airport, it can even be efficient.
