The Motor Show returned full of news for November and the month featured the debut of four new brands
The return of the Motor Show made November the busiest month in 2025. There were 18 launches, including four new brands. It was a month that took work.
The Toyota Yaris Cross, which was delayed for internal Toyota reasons and a tragedy, has finally been launched. Rival Honda presented the WR-V, its entry-level SUV.

Stellantis has finally launched Leapmotor, with aggressive positioning. The B10 is an electric medium SUV, while the C10 is a medium large with an electric or hybrid version with a range extender.
A launch that drew attention was the Geely EX2, an electric hatch with the size and autonomy of BYD Dolphin GS, but the price is Dolphin Mini. It promises to upset the status quo of the segment.
Chevrolet continues its strategy of fighting Chinese with Chinese, launching the Captiva EV for the medium SUV segment. Ford has treated electrification differently, bringing the new Maverick Hybrid with all-wheel drive.
The new brands that hit the market were Leapmotor, MG Motor, Jetour and Changan. The latter is with the traditional Caoa group behind the scenes.

Leapmotor’s “entry” model in Brazil in its debut is the B10, an electric medium SUV. He came in below R$ 200 thousand, the price of most rivals.
It is sold only as electric, in a single version. The 218 hp engine drives the rear axle, an interesting differential in this segment. The 67.1 kWh batteries provide 288 km of autonomy in the Inmetro cycle.

The C10 is a medium-large five-seater SUV, similar in size to a GWM Haval H6. For now, it is the only electric in this segment, with the same motor as the B10 and a larger 69.9 kWh battery that yields 338 km of autonomy.
But the most interesting version of it is the REEV, called Ultra-Hybrid by Stellantis. It uses a smaller 28.4 kWh battery with a range of 111 km. It can also be charged by the 1.5 aspirated engine that acts only as a generator and does not drive the vehicle, and can extend the range to 950 km.
The advantage of this is that the driver does not need to look for charging points on a trip, just fill the 50-liter tank with gasoline. This motor always works in the most efficient regime and does not need to pull the almost 2 tons, this is the role of the electric motor.

Geely’s big bet for Brazil is the EX2 electric hatch, which came with very competitive prices to fight against BYD cars. It has 289 km of autonomy and an engine with 116 hp. In the top-of-the-line version, the ADAS package is standard.

Found it difficult to buy a Golf GTI? Volkswagen will continue with the Jetta GLI, which has been restyled. It uses the same 2.0 TSI, but with 231 hp. It gains some points in practicality, due to the larger trunk.
The Honda WR-V is the Japanese brand’s new entry-level SUV, but it has a larger interior space and trunk than the HR-V. It arrives only with a 1.5 aspirated engine and simpler finish to justify the price.

GWM has gone beyond a mere face-lift in this mid-cycle update of the Haval H6. Its sales leader gained several improvements from the luxurious Wey 07, such as the screen with a new operating system, the steering wheel and the option of a clear interior. The 1.5 turbo engine is of the new generation, even more efficient, but the SUV continues with the same versions.

Ford started to bring the hybrid version of its intermediate pickup with all-wheel drive. It remains in the Lariat version, which gained more equipment and is equivalent to the Black 2.0 turbo. The price was maintained.

MG Motor, a British brand that was bought by China’s SAIC, debuted in Brazil with three models. Its image car is the Cyberster, a 510 hp electric roadster.

This electric medium SUV should be MG’s highest volume model in Brazil. The S5 enters the segment where the Geely EX5, the BYD Yuan Plus and the GAC Aion V are already located.

Contrary to all expectations, the MG 4 debuted in Brazil in the XPower sports version, with a 435 hp engine. This medium hatch has tamer versions to compete against the BYD Dolphin, but the brand bets on the sporty vein to succeed.

The Chinese like an electric medium SUV and now even Chevrolet has a car of this type, the Captiva EV. It came with a price similar to the competition and a generous size, like the old combustion Captiva. But in common with the GM line we know there is only the name, inside it does not hide the Asian origin.

The Chery group has launched another premium brand in Brazil, Jetour. It arrives independent of Caoa and Omoda & Jaecoo, with its own dealership network. This division is focused on models with an off-road proposal and has confirmed two hybrid SUVs for 2026.

After several delays, including a natural disaster, Toyota finally launched the Yaris Cross. The compact SUV has an unprecedented 1.5 flex hybrid set, with a similar operating principle to that of the Corolla brother and the promise of being more efficient. There is also the option for the 1.5-liter aspirated engine without electrification, for entry-level models.
Even with the delay, the Yaris Cross is in line with the competition in the offer of equipment, bringing an electronic parking brake, panoramic sunroof and electric trunk opening.

Kia took 12 cars to the Motor Show, 8 of which were launches. What was exhibited at the event and is already in the dealership network is the restyled Sportage, which is in line with the brand’s new visual identity and has also been updated inside. The engine remains the 1.6 turbo, aided by a 48-volt mild hybrid system.

The Savana version is a tradition of the Brazilian Mitsubishi in its line of pickup trucks. The new Triton received this off-road treatment at the end of the first year of sales, receiving snorkels, rock sliders, roof racks and muddy tires. This time the adventurous version is based on the top-of-the-line Katana, which includes an ADAS package, multimedia center with native browser and other goodies.

The first passenger car sold by BYD in Brazil was the Tan large electric SUV. The Atto 8 is its new generation and debuted at the Motor Show in a plug-in hybrid version and at a more affordable price than its battery-powered brother, which is still available.

BYD’s luxury brand arrived in Brazil with the B5, a large SUV derived from the chassis of the Shark pickup. Denza will have its own network of dealerships, which will start sales with this model and the Z9GT electric station wagon.

The Caoa group now represents another Chinese company in Brazil, Changan. She did not abandon Chery, she just expanded the portfolio. The first Changan cars to be imported will be from the luxury division Avatr, but in the future it will have the Uni-T, which has already been spotted by AutoPapo running in tests.
