Special edition bets on a look inspired by the café racers of the 1960s, with a sportier riding position and exclusive finish
Triumph has globally unveiled the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition 2026, a special and limited version that takes the classic concept of the line to a sportier and more exclusive level.
Produced in only 800 units worldwide, the novelty is based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, but clearly differs from the traditional version by adopting a visual and ergonomic proposal inspired by the British café racers of the 1960s. So far, there is no official confirmation about the commercialization of the model in Brazil.

The main difference from the other Speed Twins is in the riding position. The Cafe Racer Edition abandons the conventional handlebars to adopt clip-ons, which make the rider more inclined forward and reinforce the sporty character. The set is complemented by a bullet-shaped single-seat seat, with brown finish and removable cover, in addition to the standard removal of the passenger footpegs – although Triumph informs that the components come with the bike for those who wish to reinstall them.
Visually, the special edition also distances itself from the traditional Speed Twin and the RS by receiving a unique color scheme, inspired by British competitions. The combination of Competition Green and Aluminum Silver, with Empire Gold fillets, appears on the tank, seat fairing and side panels, which display the number 12. Headlight, front suspension protectors and trim details follow the same green tone, while brushed aluminum fenders reinforce the contrast with the metallic elements.

Despite the aesthetic focus, the mechanical base remains the same as the Speed Twin 1200 RS. The model uses the Bonneville 1200 twin-cylinder engine, with 105 hp at 7,750 rpm and 11,42 kgfm of torque, maintaining the 270-degree ignition order, which guarantees quick responses and power delivery with personality. The chassis includes adjustable Marzocchi forks, Öhlins rear shock absorbers and Brembo Stylema brakes with 320 mm discs, a set already known from the RS version.

In the technological package, the Cafe Racer Edition repeats the features of the RS, such as Road, Rain and Sport riding modes, ABS and cornering traction control, in addition to the standard Triumph Shift Assist. The panel combines LCD and TFT screens in a classic circular display, with connectivity support, turn-by-turn navigation and a discreetly integrated USB-C input.
With limited production and a focus on exclusivity, the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition now occupies the top of the Speed Twin family in the global market, targeting both collectors and motorcyclists looking for a classic naked with a more aggressive look and premium refinement. It now remains to be seen if — and when — the special series will be able to officially land in the Brazilian market.
