Most are small motorcycles that have stood out in the market for their competition and also for their cost-benefit
Even after the Covid-19 pandemic and the semiconductor crisis, the price of vehicles in Brazil has never been the same. For motorcycles it was no different and today the most popular models on the market, such as the Honda CG 160, exceed R$ 20.216, according to the Fipe zero kilometer Table. However, there are still some models that can be found new in stores costing less than R$ 17 thousand.
We have selected, listed and explained below the 10 cheapest motorcycles in Brazil at the beginning of 2026. All are simpler motorcycles, but they behave very well in the daily life of big cities.

The permanent subsidiary of the Japanese Suzuki has been successful with its DK 160, a model that, although it is not the most marketed in the category, plays a fundamental role as a competitor to the classic Honda CG. This city arrived on the Brazilian market in 2022 as an alternative and more powerful form, too, to its sister DK 150.
In the mechanical part, the DK 160 consists of a 162.4 cm³ four-stroke engine and air cooling. Its maximum power is 15 hp at 8,000 rpm and torque is 1,43 kgfm at 6,500 rpm.
What stands out in this model are position lights next to the headlight, which help in viewing the bike, especially at night and the headlight flasher with handlebar activation. A differential is in its paint, specifically on the handlebars, made with epoxy paint, it better withstands coastal weather conditions. The carbon steel exhaust is also another peculiarity that can help in the conservation of the motorcycle.

Updated to meet the standards of the Promot M5, the Shineray JEF 150s EFI remains one of the brand’s main bets in the 150 cm³ segment. The adoption of electronic injection was a regulatory requirement, not a design evolution, and this is reflected in the simple technical set.
The 149 cm³ single-cylinder engine delivers 13.5 hp and 1.4 kgfm of torque, associated with a five-speed gearbox. Among the differentials are the 100% digital panel, USB port and the presence of electric and pedal start. The front brake is disc, with a combined braking system.

The SHI 175 continues to occupy a specific niche in the Brazilian market, positioning itself between low-displacement and intermediate motorcycles.
With a larger size than the traditional 150, the model bets on a 175 cm³ engine, capable of delivering 14,2 hp and 1,42 kgfm of torque. The set is differentiated mainly by disc brakes on both wheels, in addition to a complete analog panel with gear indicator – leaving aside modernity, but maintaining the precision of information.
In 2026, the SHI 175 promises to continue growing in sales, after all it is the cheapest “crossover” model on the market and third way to the Japanese.

Even after the arrival of the EFI version, the carbureted JEF 150s still appears on the market as a lower-cost option within Shineray’s 150 line. Its design serves as a basis for the current generation and maintains a focus on simplicity, robustness and low acquisition price, although it already represents a technically outdated proposal in the face of the most recent environmental requirements.
In a simple street structure, the model is practically the same as its 10th-placed sister, but it is weaker and more powerful, with an engine and 10,3 hp of power and 1,4 kgf.m of torque.

The Honda Elite 125 arrived at its new generation in 2024 with profound changes, both visual and mechanical. In 2026, the scooter keeps the set up to date for emissions, with technologies such as eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) and ISS (Idling Stop System), which shuts down the engine at prolonged stops.
The new project brought ergonomic improvements, LED lighting and greater practicality in fueling, now done from the rear. Even with power reduced to 8.2 hp, the Elite remains one of the most efficient and rational scooters in the urban segment.

Honda Biz has consolidated, in recent years, the definitive transition to the 125 cm³ engine, abandoning the 110 cm³ version. In 2026, the model continues with a more efficient engine and is adequate to environmental standards, maintaining the semi-automatic transmission as a major differential.
The changes in the braking system, with the adoption of the CBS and the elimination of the traditional pedal, brought the Biz closer to the logic of scooters, reinforcing its proposal of ease of use, especially for beginners.

Within this group, the Shineray Free 150 EFI gained prominence by positioning itself as one of the 150 cheapest in the country. Launched in 2024 for less than R$ 10 thousand, the bike has had natural readjustments over the years and, in 2026, appears in the range of R$ 12.990.
The model combines a more modern look, large digital panel and simple mechanics. The 149 cm³ engine delivers 12 hp and 1,4 kgfm of torque, with a five-speed gearbox and a top speed close to 90 km/h. The set features disc brakes at the front, drum at the rear, 18-inch alloy wheels and electric and pedal start.
The Shineray Jet 125 SS EFI remains one of the brand’s best-selling motorcycles, with a 123.6 cm³ engine and declared average consumption of up to 45 km/l, maintaining a digital panel, front disc brake and low-cost urban proposal.
Finally, the last of the shineray that matches prices on this list, the Rio 125 EFI. One of the most affordable options among the country’s urban scooters marked the beginning of the Chinese manufacturer’s definitive transition to electronic injection, in compliance with the requirements of the M5 phase of Promot. The model bets on a simple and functional proposal, with a 123.6 cm³ single-cylinder engine, up to 8 hp of power and a 4-speed gearbox, prioritizing economy and urban use. Among the differentials, it features LED lighting, DRL, USB port and center stand, reinforcing its appeal as an entry-level vehicle for everyday life, although with limited performance, since its top speed is 79 km/h.
A little less known than most of the models listed, the Aveloz AZ125 Alfa is the second motorcycle in a triad of commerciality by this Brazilian brand.
Equipped with a 125 cm³ engine capable of 8.5 hp and 0.87 kgfm, the AZ125 Alfa fits into the segment like a simple scooter, but some refinements that competitors do not have. LED lights, disc brakes, digital dashboard and USB charging exceed expectations in this model.

As with the Fet line, Shineray maintains the Jet line in a simpler version without electronic injection.
Likewise, it is very similar to its sister, but it is weaker and more powerful, carrying 7,2 hp and 0,8 kgf.m in the same engine.

Even after successive readjustments, the Honda Pop 110i ES remains the cheapest motorcycle in Brazil in 2026 – even if it is thanks to the end of Shineray Worker manufacturing.
The adoption of electric start and semi-automatic transmission profoundly transformed the model, bringing its usability closer to the Honda Biz. The updated engine delivers 8.43 hp and 0.94 kgfm of torque, meeting emissions standards with less impact on consumption. With drum brakes, simple suspensions and reduced weight, the Pop continues to be the main gateway for those looking for cheap, reliable and economical individual transport.
