In the coming days, Honda will start selling the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP 2026 in the Brazilian market. The result of a deep technical update that covers engine, chassis and aerodynamics, the supersport bike is the best of the brand in terms of technology, and debuts for R$ 189.174. The model arrives with the mission of maintaining the performance benchmark established since its original launch in 1992.

Motorization and electronic refinement

The in-line four-cylinder engine delivers 215 hp of maximum power and 11,4 kgfm. Under the supervision of Honda Racing Corporation, the set received titanium connecting rods, a lighter crankshaft and shortened gear ratios to enhance traction on corner exits. The technical highlight is the new electronic throttle (TBW) with two independent actuators — a system that refines the control at low revs and expands the capacity of the engine brake]. The 4-2-1 exhaust system is completed by a titanium Akrapovič tip, now quieter.

The state-of-the-art electronics are managed by a six-axis IMU, which coordinates the three customizable riding modes. The 5-inch TFT panel brings an unprecedented feature: during warm-up, the rev limit is restricted to 8,000 rpm, rising to 14,000 rpm only when the engine reaches the ideal temperature. For track use, the bike offers adjustable Launch Control and Quickshifter as standard.

Track Chassis Aerodynamics

The Fireblade SP 2026 debuts the third generation of the Öhlins S-EC3.0 electronic suspension, allowing the rider to adjust the spring preload directly through the panel. The Diamond aluminum chassis had its lateral stiffness reduced by 17% to ensure greater grip perception and precision in high-speed corners. Braking is handled by the new Brembo Stylema R calipers, with adjustable ABS for road or track modes.

Externally, the fairing fins have been redesigned to generate greater downforce, reducing the wheelie tendency by 10%. With a curb weight of 201 kg and balanced distribution, the ergonomics have been subtly changed with higher handlebars and low footpegs for greater freedom of control. The model, available in Grand Prix Red, has a three-year warranty and free assistance in six South American countries.
