Motorcycle production in Brazil is expected to maintain its growth trajectory in 2026. According to a projection by the Brazilian Association of Manufacturers of Motorcycles, Mopeds, Motorcycles, Bicycles and Similar (Abraciclo), the factories installed in the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM) should produce 2.07 million units next year, a volume 4.5% higher than that recorded in 2025, when production totaled 1,980,538 motorcycles.

In the domestic market, the expectation is also positive. The entity estimates the licensing of 2.3 million motorcycles in 2026, a growth of 4.6% compared to the 2,197,851 units registered last year. Exports, in turn, should reach 45 thousand units, up 4.4% year-on-year.

“The projections indicate the consolidated growth of the segment in Brazil and reinforce the strategic role of the Manaus Industrial Pole, the largest two-wheeled production center outside the Asian axis,” says Marcos Bento, president of Abraciclo.

Motorcycle production had historic performance in 2025

The performance of motorcycle production in 2025 was one of the highlights of the national industry. In all, 1,980,538 units were manufactured, a volume 13.3% higher than in 2024. According to Abraciclo, this was the best result in the sector since 2011 and the third highest in the history of the Brazilian motorcycle industry.

“The performance of the sector reflects the heated demand for two-wheeled vehicles, driven mainly by urban mobility and professional use”, explains Marcos Bento. According to him, the industry continues to invest in technology, in the improvement of production processes and in the development of new models, following the evolution of consumer needs.

In retail, registrations hit a record in 2025, with 2,197,851 motorcycles licensed — an increase of 17.1% compared to the previous year and the best result in the time series. Exports also showed strong growth, totaling 43,117 units, an increase of 39.1% compared to 2024.

Motorcycle production results in December

The December data confirm the good moment of the sector. Motorcycle production reached 129,709 units, the second best performance ever recorded for the month. The volume represented an increase of 4.7% in the annual comparison, despite the drop of 21.7% in relation to November.

The Street category led the monthly production, with 69,894 units, equivalent to 53.9% of the total manufactured. In the analysis by displacement range, the low-displacement models concentrated 100,785 units, which corresponds to 77.7% of production. Medium-displacement motorcycles totaled 26,022 units (20.1%), while high-displacement models accounted for 2,902 units (2.2%).

In retail, December recorded the best result for the period since 2011, with 193,219 motorcycles licensed. The daily average was 8,401 units in 23 working days, a volume 27.2% higher than in December 2025 and 7% higher than in November.

Exports closed the month with 3,495 motorcycles shipped, an increase of 38.8% in the annual comparison, although with a decrease of 23.4% compared to the previous month.
