The Honda XL750 Transalp has recently arrived in the Brazilian market and has already been the subject of criticism among motorcyclists when it comes to price. Announced at the suggested public price of R$ 65,545, this February it reaches the consumer for R$ 73,256, according to the Fipe Table. However, this cost has already been higher.

The price of the brand’s new adventurer reached R$ 76.019 in January, R$ 11 thousand above the advertised cost. Honda says that the drop in value from one month to the next indicates the normalization of the product.

Unlike the car market, many motorcycle brands practice their official prices as “suggested”, which do not include shipping and other fees charged by dealerships.

As much as customers in the sector are used to it, the discrepancy of R$ 11 thousand scared those who looked for the model at the beginning of the year. Several questioned on AutoPapo’s social networks, as soon as the official price of the motorcycle hit the market.

  • The ceiling on the value of the Honda XL750 Transalp still exceeded the citizens’ vision.

We contacted some dealerships to find out the current price of the Honda XL750 Transalp. At Motocar Paraná, one of the largest Japanese dealerships in the southern region of the country, the new adventurer costs R$ 72.250. Other stores, from different regions of the country, did not respond to us at the time of publication of this article.

According to Luiz Gustavo, Honda’s Public Relations supervisor, the price rose more than usual in January, because, with the end of the year holidays, there is a drop in production. With fewer models being manufactured and demand higher, the price ended up being impacted by the law of supply and demand. In February, the value is already normalized and, in some stores, the price is below R$ 70 thousand.

Although, according to the national reference of the Fipe Table, the price of the new Honda XL750 Transalp remains above R$ 70 thousand, it is a fact that there is a drop in the values of the model. If everything remains as the brand claims, there is an expectation that the price will fall even more in March.
