Honda's retro minibike arrives in the 2026 lineup in Europe without mechanical changes; model bets on design and efficiency
This week, Honda made official in the European market the arrival of the Dax 2026, a model that remains faithful to the proposal that has consecrated it since the late 1960s. With no changes in the mechanical set, the novelty of the line is concentrated in the new color options, while the retro look and the urban proposal remain as the main attractions of the mini motorcycle.

Produced within European environmental standards, the Dax maintains the chassis in the shape of a “T”, made of stamped steel, which also houses the fuel tank and defines the characteristic design of the model. Elements such as chrome raised handlebars, high exhaust with perforated thermal protector and thick double seat reinforce the historical identity. In the center of the structure, the name “Dax”, the classic Honda logo and the illustration of the dachshund dog, a direct reference to the origin of the name.
Despite the nostalgic appearance, the Dax 2026 brings current solutions. All lighting is LED, with a circular headlight and integrated indicators, while the instrument panel adopts a negative circular LCD screen, which displays essential information in a simple way. The bike also has a chrome handle for the passenger, chain protection and a list of original accessories, such as a USB socket, rear luggage rack, heated grips and alarm with immobilizer.

Compact and light, the Dax weighs 107 kg in running order, has a wheelbase of 1,200 mm and a seat height of 775 mm, making it easy to use by riders of different heights and allowing it to accommodate two adults. The 12-inch wheels use wide tires and the braking system has discs on both wheels, with single-channel ABS.
On the mechanical side, the model is still equipped with the well-known 124 cm³, air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which delivers 9.3 hp of power and 1.1 kgf.m of torque. The four-speed gearbox with automatic centrifugal clutch dispenses with the clutch lever, making driving simpler, especially in urban use.
One of the great highlights of the Honda Dax 2026 is efficiency. According to official data from the manufacturer, average consumption reaches 66.7 km/l in the WMTC cycle. Even with a tank of only 3.8 liters, the range can approach 250 km, reinforcing the model’s economic appeal.

For the 2026 model year, Honda announced three colors for Europe: Pearl Horizon White and Candy Energy Orange, both unprecedented, in addition to the Pearl Shining Black, already known.
So far, there is no official confirmation of the arrival of the Honda Dax 2026 in Brazil, something that probably will not happen, since here who reigns in the category is also the Honda POP 110i Es.
