BMW R 12 G/S gains Option 719 version and further extrapolates the price of the trail chariot

Version stands out for its exclusive matte Sandrover Matt color with red details; Produced at the Manaus plant, only 60 units will be sold in Brazil

The BMW R 12 G/S was confirmed for Brazil in mid-January and on the last day of the period the German manufacturer also confirmed the arrival of a special edition. The BMW R 12 G/S Option 719 arrives with its distinctive look in 60 limited units.

Holder of some exclusive equipment, the BMW R 12 G/S Option 719 differs from the conventional variant in its Sandrover Matt paint, with a red chassis, black front suspension and black handguards. In addition, the motorcycle has Option 719 details on the brake and clutch levers, footpegs, coil covers, fuel plug and valve covers.

What also differentiates is the price. With a suggested public price of R$ 113.900 R$, the G/S Option 719 costs 8.000 more than the base version (R$ 105.900).

BMW R 12 G/S

Produced at the Manaus (AM) plant, the new BMW R 12 G/S is equipped with the one-off 1,170 cm³ boxer engine, which delivers 109 hp at 7,000 rpm and 11,7 kgfm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Air/oil-cooled, this engine offers a smooth and controlled power delivery, ideal for both asphalt and rougher terrain. The single-flow exhaust system, with a high mounted rear muffler, complements the look and performance of the model.

BMW R12 GS

There are three riding modes (Rain, Road and Enduro) and the additional “Enduro Pro” mode as part of the Enduro Package Pro, which provides greater control on challenging terrain. Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR) ensure safety and stability while riding.

The ergonomics are designed for comfortable and safe riding, especially on demanding terrain, with three seat options, off-road-specific footrests and adjustable handlebars.

In terms of technology, the new BMW R 12 G/S is equipped with BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, high-power LED lighting – which includes adaptive headlight as an option -, 12V socket for charging, face-to-face key and a retro round instrument panel.

Available in three colours (excluding the special edition) – matte black, light white and the 719 Aragonit option – the new BMW R 12 G/S also offers a range of customisation options through Original BMW Motorrad accessories, allowing riders to tailor the bike to their personal preferences.
