Model with classic aesthetics and 1,170 cm³ engine debuts with zero rate and pre-sale pre-sale appreciation bonus
BMW Motorrad starts the year 2026 by expanding its national portfolio with the launch of the R 12 G/S. Produced at the automaker’s plant in Manaus (AM), the motorcycle arrives at dealerships with a suggested price of R$ 105,900, positioning itself as an option that mixes the classic aesthetics of adventure motorcycles with the modern engineering of the German brand.
In terms of mechanics, the model is driven by the traditional 1,170 cm³ boxer engine. The engine delivers 109 hp of power at 7.000 rpm and 11,7 kgfm of torque at 6.500 rpm. The power transmission to the rear wheel is done by cardan shaft — a feature that reduces the need for periodic maintenance compared to traditional chains.

The R 12 G/S datasheet reflects the focus on safety and versatility. The electronic package includes ABS Pro brakes (optimized for cornering), dynamic traction control and gear shift assistant, eliminating the use of the clutch. The vocation for varied terrain is reinforced by the spoked wheels — 21 inches at the front and 17 at the rear — and the adjustable suspension system.
From an industrial point of view, the start of production of the R 12 G/S marks the completion of the planned launch cycle for the Manaus plant for the previous fiscal year. According to brand executives, the nationalization of the model reaffirms the technical capacity of the Brazilian unit to incorporate global technologies with agility. Matheus Pereira, CEO of BMW Motorrad in Brazil, defines the launch as a synthesis between “tradition and adventurous spirit”.
Initially available in white, the motorcycle debuts with aggressive commercial conditions to attract the consumer right at launch. BMW offers financing with a rate of 0% (with a down payment of 60% and balance in 24 installments).
In addition, there is an overvaluation bonus of up to R$ 5,000 if the customer uses a used motorcycle as part of the payment. The pre-sale campaign also includes a 50% discount on the purchase of helmets from the GS line.
