For the older or laymen on the subject, motorcycles have always been synonymous with low prices, but the evolution of the market, added to the rise in prices, has transformed two-wheeled vehicles into a high investment — at least in Brazil.

Of course, the great mass of popular motorcycles continues to have prices well below cars, ranging around R$ 20 thousand. What many don’t know is that motorcycles with a little more sophistication already reach the price of the cheapest cars on the market and the top-of-the-line ones reach R$ 100 thousand, R$ 200 thousand and even R$ 300 thousand.

Although there are much more expensive models, vehicles with values close to the Renault Kwid, the cheapest car in Brazil, which costs R$ 78,690, were considered. A representative from each of the main manufacturers in the country was chosen to compose the list.

1 – 10 motorcycles that cost the price of a car: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R – R$ 71.990

Kawasaki Ninja ZX 6R

Starting with the Japanese Kawasaki, who doesn’t remember the classic Ninjas? These sporty fairings were very successful in the early 2000s, all for their sportiness and prices that, although not so cheap, were affordable for those who wanted to pay a little more.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R represents this sportiness very well. After all, unlike traditional Ninjas, it is a 600 designed for high performance. Equipped with a 636 cm³ four-cylinder engine, it is capable of delivering 129 hp of power and 7 kgfm of torque.

Also with advanced technologies such as quick shifter, traction control, high-precision brakes, smartphone connectivity, among others, the model is widely used for training on closed tracks.

2 – Triumph Bonneville Bobber – BRL 72.490

Triumph Bonneville Bobber

Getting closer to the cheapest car in Brazil, the most classic of Triumph motorcycles, the Bonneville. Although it is not one of the old ones from the 1960s, the Bonneville Bobber maintains the elegance of the brand, increasing technology.

With features that integrate traction control, clutch assist and even autopilot, this classic motorcycle that has the price of a car has a 78 hp and 11 kgf.m twin-cylinder engine.

Resembling a car, the bike has an interval of 10,000 km between maintenance, in addition to LED lights, DRL, double brake disc on the front wheel, ABS and electronic throttle. If the intention is to attract attention, you can be happy with the model.

Still around R$ 70 thousand, the acclaimed T7 stands out. This bike could even be considered a great off-road SUV, if it were a car, but, as it is a motorcycle, it can be defined as the queen of the rough terrains of the Japanese Yamaha.

The official motorcycle of the Japanese rally competition was officially presented to the Brazilian public during the 2024 Interlagos Festival and hit stores at the end of 2025. It arrived in the country with important updates in technology, ergonomics and off-road performance, highlighting the 6.3-inch color TFT panel with connectivity via Y-Connect, USB Type-C socket, new design with four LED projectors in the shape of a “Y” and redesigned fairings.

In the chassis set, the bike is equipped with a fully adjustable 43 mm inverted front suspension, 210 mm travel and 240 mm ground clearance. At the rear, the progressive link system offers tool-free adjustments. The chassis has been reinforced and the ergonomics improved for standing riding, a feature valued in off-road adventures.

In the engine part, the renowned 690 cm³ CP2 guarantees the model 68.9 hp of power (weakened in Brazil by emission laws) and 6.6 kgf.m of torque.

4 – Suzuki V-Strom 1050 – BRL 77.600

Suzuki V Strom 1050

Suzuki’s V-Strom line features a family of adventurers, which even has cheaper and intermediate bikes, but it is the 1050 that stands out as a true big trail.

In its simplest variant, more focused on the asphalt, it starts at R$ 77.600 and can indeed be considered a motorcycle that has a car price nowadays. Equipped with a V-twin engine (inspiring the name), it is capable of delivering 107 hp of power and 10.5 kgf.m of torque, reaching excellent speeds on the road without losing the comfort of a road bike.

5 – Motorcycles that cost the price of a car: Kymco AK550 Premium – R$ 78.640

KYMCO AK550

Even scooters can have high prices. This is the case of the Kymco AK550 Premium, a Chinese model that exudes technology and comfort for those who want to drive in a seated position.

This model may be one of the closest to a car, after all, it is the only one on the list with a luggage rack capable of carrying up to two helmets. It is also packed with technologies, such as two riding modes (Standard and Rain), ABS brakes, TFT digital panel, face-to-face key and heating on the grips.

The twin-cylinder engine with double camshaft and liquid cooling generates up to 50 hp of power and 5,3 kgfm of torque, making the model work well in cities and even on trips.

6 – Honda CB1000R – BRL 78.870

Honda CB 1000R

The largest manufacturer in the world could not be left out and, although several models of the brand have values equal to or higher than those of a car – such as the Gold Wing, which exceeds R$ 300 thousand – its only 1000 sports car on the market was chosen.

In a café racer-style footprint, the Honda CB1000R is not among the brand’s most talked about bikes, but it is certainly among the most elegant. Its rounded headlight and short tail seat make the model classy without losing sportiness. After all, it is a 998.4 cm³ four-cylinder, with 142.8 hp and 10.2 kgfm of torque.

Equipped with technologies such as ABS on both wheels, cell phone connectivity, traction control, slipper clutch, among others, this stylish one is very good for hitting the road, but also for a short weekend ride, a feature that Honda has been bringing to its models to be easy to drive, regardless of the environment.

7 – Motorcycles that cost the price of a car: BMW F 900 GS – R$ 78.900

BMW F900 GS

Representing the German BMW on the list, the F 900 GS is the big trail designed for those who want high performance off the asphalt without giving up technology and comfort. Recently renewed, it arrived in the Brazilian market at the end of 2024 with a more aggressive proposal in look and, especially, off-road.

The BMW F 900 GS is equipped with an 895 cm³ in-line twin-cylinder engine, capable of delivering 90 hp of power and 9,4 kgfm of torque. In addition to the performance gain compared to the previous generation, the engine stands out for its more linear torque delivery, favoring both road use and riding on uneven terrain.

In the technological package, the German big trail brings items worthy of a modern car, such as cruise control, riding modes, traction control, tire pressure control, color TFT panel with connectivity via BMW Motorrad Connected, full LED lighting, heated grips, keyless start and Pro gear shift assistant, depending on the version.

With a price that already touches that of the cheapest cars in the country, the BMW F 900 GS shows how the German practically puts the technologies of a luxury car on larger motorcycles.

8 – Ducati Monster – BRL 86.990

Ducati Monster

Here we have already reached a level that surpasses the cheapest car in Brazil, even if we are talking about one of the cheapest motorcycles from the luxurious Italian Ducati.

The thoroughbred red brand, analogous to Ferrari in the world of motorcycles, has as one of its icons the Ducati Monster, which arrived in the 2026 line reaffirming why it is one of the most desired motorcycles in the world – and also one of those that already cost the price of a car.

Unveiled during the Ducati World Premiere 2026 in Italy, the new generation is betting on a profound evolution, without abandoning the essence that marked its debut in 1992.

The main novelty came with the V2 engine with IVT (Intake Variable Timing) system, which adjusts the opening time of the intake valves to improve performance and efficiency. The engine delivers an expressive 111 hp of power and 9,3 kgfm of torque, numbers that put the Monster at the level of many compact cars. In addition, the engine is lighter — about 5.9 kg less than the previous one — and has spaced maintenance, with an interval of up to 45,000 km for valve adjustment.

In the look, Ducati sought direct inspiration from the original 1992 Monster. The classic lines have been reinterpreted in a more compact, muscular and aerodynamic set.

Ergonomics has also evolved. The seat has become narrower and 5 mm lower, making it easier to control and comfort in everyday use. The monocoque chassis uses the engine as a structural element, ensuring rigidity and lightness, resulting in a total weight of 175 kg.

Completing the package are Showa suspensions, Brembo M4.32 brakes with dual 320 mm discs and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires.

9 – Motorcycles that cost the price of a car: Harley-Davidson Street Bob – R$ 119.950

Harley Davidson Street Bob

Like the Ducati, the Harley-Davidson Street Bob is one of the most “affordable” motorcycles within a brand traditionally known for its high prices — and yet it costs the same as many popular cars in Brazil. With a minimalist look and aggressive posture, this cruiser represents the style and philosophy of the American brand very well.

The Street Bob is equipped with the Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine, a V-twin that delivers a strong torque boost from low revs, in addition to the noise practically patented by the brand. There are 89 horsepower and 15,7 kgfm of torque. It is true that it is not such a powerful motorcycle, but it is what characterizes this type of custom.

Street Bob’s design is true to the bobber spirit: clean lines, high “mini-ape” handlebars, narrow tank and darkened elements make up a classic yet intimidating look.

In terms of technology, the Street Bob brings items such as ABS brakes as standard, riding modes and a simplified digital panel with smartphone connectivity via optional system, delivering the essentials without exaggeration, exactly as expected by those looking for a traditional cruiser.

10 – BMW K 1600 GTL – BRL 319.900

bmw k 1600 gtl

Closing the list, we decided to exaggerate, repeat a brand and bring the most expensive motorcycle in Brazil. The reason is to show that, despite seeming very expensive, in 2026 having a motorcycle the value of a car is not so surreal.

Costing the trifle of R$ 319.900, the BMW K 1600 GTL is practically a car without a roof and doors. This touring is aimed at those who want to travel with great style, comfort and safety.

Its features are numerous and stand out: advanced electronic assistance such as ABS Pro in curves, dynamic traction control, riding modes, ESA electronic suspension, cruise control and ramp start assistant, heated seats and grips, electric windshield, central trunk locking, face-to-face key and even reverse gear.

The model also bets heavily on connectivity, with a panel integrated into the smartphone via Bluetooth, sound and radio system, GPS with road speed indication and full LED lighting with adaptive directional beacon.

Its engine is larger than that of a conventional car. Six-cylinder in-line, four-stroke and liquid cooling make up the 1,649 cm³ of the set, which reaches power of 160 hp at 6,750 rpm and torque of 17,8 kgfm at 5,250 rpm.

Those who think it’s still cheap and want a different color can take the metallic Gravity blue variant for R$ 324.900.
