Customization allows you to change speedometer and multimedia center of models such as Ioniq and Sonata with Pokémon; novelty is restricted to South Korea
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the famous Japanese franchise, Hyundai announced an official collaboration with Pokémon in South Korea. The partnership allows transforming the cockpit of the automaker’s vehicles through a native thematic interface. Unlike a simple wallpaper swap, homeowners can now deeply customize the visual experience of the digital panel. The change covers both the instrument panel and the screen of the multimedia center, creating an unprecedented integration between pop culture and automotive systems.

Drivers have two main customization options for the 12.3″ screens of Hyundai cars. The “Pikachu Quick Attack” theme highlights the series’ iconic yellow mascot, introducing vibrant graphic details and exclusive videos that play when starting the vehicle.

The second option, called “Ditto World”, adopts shades of purple in allusion to the protagonist of the recently announced Pokémon Pokopia game. This version also includes the appearance of classic figures, such as Charmander, Squirtle and Meowth, amplifying the nostalgic appeal.

Graphic customization directly interferes with the layout of essential information, modifying speed indicators, operating system menus, GPS navigation screens, and user profile icons. To support the software, the car needs to be equipped with the ccNC (Connected Car Navigation Cockpit) system, the South Korean brand’s most advanced technological architecture.
So far, the compatibility of the feature is exclusive to the South Korean market, with no official forecast for global expansion. The list of models eligible to receive the themes includes the Ioniq electric line, the Palisade SUV, the Sonata sedan and the Staria van. The lifetime package costs ₩ 29,900 (about R$ 106 in direct conversion) and is purchased via the BlueLink virtual store, being permanently linked to the owner’s account.
