Cullinan's collection limited to four units uses teak wood and handmade details to pay homage to the nautical tradition of the brand's founders
Rolls-Royce has unveiled the Cullinan Yachting collection, a special series consisting of just four exclusive units of its luxury SUV. The project, developed by the Bespoke customization division, uses nautical culture as a common thread, establishing a direct connection between automotive design and the universe of high-end yachts. Each example has been designed around one of the four cardinal points – North, South, East and West – which guide the chromatic choices and technical finishes of each vehicle.
The aesthetic proposal combines noble materials and artisanal techniques. One of the central elements is the use of open-pore teak wood, a material traditionally used in boat decks, which covers strategic parts of the console and doors. On the interior panels, hand-drawn paintings depict the movement of waves and yachts on the high seas, ensuring that none of the four models has an artistic composition identical to the other.

Inside, the refinement is accentuated by leather in Arctic White and Navy Blue tones, complemented by details that refer to nautical ropes applied by hand to the seats. The starry ceiling, the manufacturer’s trademark, received an unprecedented configuration in this series: the light patterns were designed to represent the winds of the Mediterranean, such as the Mistral and the Sirocco, reinforcing the geographical symbolism of the collection.

Externally, the colors of each unit were chosen to evoke different times of the day and global orientations, such as the “Eastern Dawn” and the “Western Sunset Gold”. According to Martina Starke, director of Custom Design at Rolls-Royce, the project celebrates the brand’s maritime heritage, recalling that Sir Henry Royce often sought inspiration from his residence in Le Canadel, on the French Riviera. The 22-inch mirror-polished wheels complete the look, reminiscent of the polished metals of classic yachts.
