Volkswagen has started a commercial offensive in the SUV segment to end the first quarter of 2026. With a promotion valid until March 31, the brand offers the VW T-Cross 200 TSI with a bonus of R$ 21.500, reducing the final price to R$ 139.990. The maneuver creates an unusual situation in the line: the model now costs R$ 4.400 less than the Tera High, the top-of-the-line version of the manufacturer’s subcompact SUV.

Balance between mechanics and convenience

Mechanically, the T-Cross 200 TSI maintains the solid set composed of the 1.0 turbo engine with 128 hp and 20,4 kgfm of torque, coupled to the six-speed automatic transmission. One of the model’s strengths compared to entry-level compact SUVs is the interior space and dynamic adjustment, which includes disc brakes on all four wheels as standard, ensuring more precise braking in situations of maximum load.

In consumption, the SUV registers averages of 12.1 km/l with gasoline in the city, remaining competitive in the category. However, the reduction in price reflects a more austere list of equipment. To make the R$ 139.990 viable, the package focuses on the essentials: LED headlights and 16″ alloy wheels are present, but items such as a reversing camera, digital air conditioning and electric folding of the mirrors were left out of this configuration.

Promotion and funding rules

The “invoice price” requires counterparts. To guarantee the bonus, the buyer must deliver a used vehicle (manufactured between 2014 and 2026) with an average mileage of up to 10 thousand km per year. In financing via Banco VW, the offer provides for a down payment of 80% (R$ 111,992) and the balance in 12 installments of R$ 2,550.90. Although the total amount financed rises to R$ 142,602 due to interest, the final amount still remains below the R$ 144,390 requested by Tera High in cash.
